Good course, something for everyone
Fairways recovering well after welcome rain. Greens vary in standard. Bunkers need some better quality sand. Really enjoyable course with some splendid views over the coastReviewer Rating

Lovely views
The course was nice and lovely views around Brighton. The fairways are quite wide. It is quite hilly. They could do with some course markers and telling you which way to the next hole. They could also do with some rubbish bins on the tees.Reviewer Rating

Chalk based so drains well
Bettere than drains well as greens were receptive and quite fast for this time of year. One casaulty, the 4th was a temp green , whilst 13th was a temp tee. All in all better condition than expected.Reviewer Rating

Challenging course with great views
Friendly , helpful staff and a great challenging course where slope and wind can be tricky.Greens and fairways could be a bit neater but adds to the challenge rather than spoiling it. Fantastic views during the round and from the sunny seating area for a refreshing drink afterwards!

Very windy but dry considering the rain that had fallen
It was a westerly and quite strong. Made the 1st tee shot quite difficult. The 6th and 7th were played into it as well as was the 10th 12th 14th 16th and 17th. All tees in good nick but 2 or 3 off mats. One of two green with standing water but in corners and the rest of the green very playable. Rest of the course very playable and no sign of mud etc.Reviewer Rating

Society golf
Not a bad course value for money wise. Good afternoons golf, but a few blind tee shots which led to sometimes fruitless ball searches. Rough quite deep so beneficial to stay on the short stuff. Beware of gulls pinching balls.Reviewer Rating

Course in Good shape
Despite the rain, very enjoyable round. Most of the greens were quite slow but generally in good condition, the rough is to be avoided at all costs!(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 105 Handicap: 28.2)

Great round
Finished in 3h7m which was pretty quick, course in good condition, rather dry. Ball ran forever.Shame the bar closes at 17:00, and the Pro Shop doesn't sell drinks or snacks.

Traditional South Downs Course
Great test of golf on a traditional downland course. Stunning views from most holes. A lot of effort is being put into this course from new owners post lockdown(Very noticeable work on good greens and surrounds bearing fruit having been left rundown) A little walked on by locals not sticking to paths but should improve as more regular golf traffic plays. Glad to have put this on my golf CV.Reviewer Rating

One of the few course that are completely playable after the wet winte
Apart from 2 greens, the 5th and 16th, the course was fully opened and no real sign of the rain that had fallen. Mainly due to Chalky ground which drains exceptionally well. Considering the course was under threat of closure , together with Waterhall (which is now closed for good 31/3/20), the course was being well maintained. Greens were a little long but that is not a surprise considering the winter conditions. As long as it stays open this will be the obvious course to play if other courses are waterlogged.Reviewer Rating
