New owners
New owners just taken over the course. There were at least 4-6 greens in very poor condition . Lots of people walking about the course - having picnics, dog walkers etc.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 21.1)

Played here recently - course was in very poor condition. Played off mats, greens were very patchy and the bunkers (not seen a rake in weeks / months). Shame because some of the holes are splendid. \Also, I would not recommend eating there. The food we were served up was inedible and the staff did not even have the curtesy to enquire why most of our party had left some of there food.\

The whole course is in a poor state especially the greens! very patchy and even turf missing on two of them.

Greens arent all that but playable. Fairways are good and rough isnt too bad. I think 29 pound is a bit steep but wanted to play

Society golf
Not a bad course value for money wise. Good afternoons golf, but a few blind tee shots which led to sometimes fruitless ball searches. Rough quite deep so beneficial to stay on the short stuff. Beware of gulls pinching balls.Reviewer Rating

I find hollingbury a good challenge, but it is a shame it is not kept quite so nicely. The course isn't in the best of conditions but the course isn't a push over and unforgiving with long rough if you're wayward.

Public footpaths run across the course and is used by dog walkers who do not always clean up after their dogs.

In very good condition for a municipal course, some quite challenging holes, wasn't too crowded when we played and weather and views were great.

One of the few course that are completely playable after the wet winte
Apart from 2 greens, the 5th and 16th, the course was fully opened and no real sign of the rain that had fallen. Mainly due to Chalky ground which drains exceptionally well. Considering the course was under threat of closure , together with Waterhall (which is now closed for good 31/3/20), the course was being well maintained. Greens were a little long but that is not a surprise considering the winter conditions. As long as it stays open this will be the obvious course to play if other courses are waterlogged.Reviewer Rating
