Too expensive for a course with no memorable holes. Worst part is how the busy the course is and that the tees in shocking condition. Greens are ok but nothing special. Play here at the weekend and expect a 4.5+ hour round. Wouldn't play again. Club house is good but expensive, £4+ a pint.

Varied holes, I thought quite expensive for what the condition and quality of the course was.

Greens were fast considering the weather we had locally preceeding our round. Need to drive straight. Tough course

Again 27 holes from McKenzie and De Vere. For me if you play 1-9 and 19-27 thats the best of the 18 holes but you may think different, but still a good challenge of your game.

this is my home course, I joined on the De Vere club £295 points system membership, which in my opinion is brilliant value for money.
The course is beautiful, and challenging, I am a relative beginner, but my game is coming on in leaps and bounds, which I accredit to the diversity of the course.

One word of Warning though.....watch out for the mosquito's if you are playing at twighlight, especially if you are playing in shorts !!!!!

A very overcrowded course at the time I played, our two ball was squeezed in between a group of foursomes who were on their 10th (our 1st) hole. Course condition was also poor for the money, with very dry and sandy greens and poor condition tees. Expected so much, but it failed to deliver. Would be unlikely to play again

Another great venue spoilt by the weather

Another great venue spoilt by the weather. Fantastic hotel, clubhouse and 27 holes. Staff were very friendly, catering was superb and the rooms were very comfortable. Such a pity the course was in very poor condition. The mud at times made the hole virtually unplayable. Didn't ruin the visit, which was still very good value, just ruined the actual golf enjoyment a little.

Wet

Unfortunately the course is very wet on the first 5 holes.
Greens are looking and running a lot better.
10-18 holes are much dryer but still spots of doggie areas.
The weather is not helping the green staff one bit after all the effort they put in last year.

Very slow greens, hard to tell if this was however down to weather or purposefully left to become slow

Hard going at times, unforgiving rough. Pace good, fairways lovely, but greens spiked. Tee boxes not level which is frustrating

Oulton Hall

Oulton Hall has made a number of improvements to help golfers have a better experience.
You can choose any number of combinations from the 27 holes that are available to vary the difficulty. Iv played the traditional 1-18 and 19-27, 1-9 Courses. I enjoyed both. But I feel playing holes 10-18 as a front 9 then 19-27 as a back 9 would give you the best holes to play.
Also available here is the golf range with Trackman fitted bays. It's newly installed and a great addition.

The course is in fair condition.Bearing in mind, the poor weather we have had in the last couple of months. I am a member at the club and have been critical of the condition of the course over the last few years but, to be fair, the course has improved considerably, over the last 18 months.
