What The Club Says
Temple Newsam has two loops of nine holes set in undulating parkland. The fairways are generous and often inviting but beware the natural hazards, including trees on most holes and streams.

Totally out of date
It's not two 18 hole courses and hasn't been for several years . It is 2 9 hole courses which was an attempt to reduce the size and bring the course nearer to the golf club. Next week the golf shop closes and the cafe which opens at 10am will be where you pay. So basically Leeds City Council want to run it down and close it completely using the excuse the revenue doesn't make it sustainable. . Yet they are happy to spend several million building an adventure playground cafe etc .Reviewer Rating

It's a good test for average golfers with some difficult holes but better players will find it less of a challenge. Work continues to be done on the Course and with time this could be a very good venue. Facilities could improve as well which would improve the overall experience.

Great Improvements
Have played this course in all its various layouts over the past 30 year's. First time playing it's current and probably final layout yesterday. I think they've done a brilliant job of the design and including a lot of new paths/cart tracks around the course. The views from some of the elevated tee,s across Leeds are fantastic. The course was quite busy but pace of play was good,the greens were in excellent condition and the tee boxes and fairways were pretty good standard as well. I really hope that Leeds city council don't close this course because it is an absolute credit to the city. I highly recommend that you give it a try.Reviewer Rating

New layout, well worth a visit!
1st time playing the new layout and was a lot more enjoyable, have to say the quality of greens was much improved - they were a little slow at times but a lot of work has gone into them so a big thumbs up to the Greenskeepers.The one negative for me is with a new layout they could have removed some of the old hole numbers as it was a bit confusing at times but overall definitely worth playing and I will be back very soon.
