For a De Vere course very disappointing. Tee boxes need work, Mole hills near 16th Green. Greens with unrepaired pitch marks. For the money they charge was a lot better when a council course

I am far from a course snob and this is not a great course. Tee's were awful, fairways bare in large areas. Greens were very good though but overall didn't enjoy the course at all. Pointlessly long par 4's throughout the course.

Luckily had groupon voucher so round and 100 ball on the range cost £19 would never pay £70 for a round here. Course is dull and unimaginative. £14 for a burger and £4.95 for a pint, this is Rothwell not St Tropez!!

Doesn't even compare to 2 rounds at Carden Park £125 plus 1 night accomadtion and a 3 course meal for £125.

Although the course is in good condition and there are some challenging holes it was far too busy and overbooked. There were 3 groups queuing up on the first tee before we could even start, which shouldn't happen with 8 minutes between tee off times. It was very slow going and you couldn't get any rhythm going on the course with a 5 minute wait on every tee.

A very overcrowded course at the time I played, our two ball was squeezed in between a group of foursomes who were on their 10th (our 1st) hole. Course condition was also poor for the money, with very dry and sandy greens and poor condition tees. Expected so much, but it failed to deliver. Would be unlikely to play again

I have played this course many times over the years, before De Vere took over. Back then it was £16 to £24 per round course. To be honest other than the club house there has been absolute minimal changes to the course since De Vere took over. I'll pay good money for a good course, but I won't do it simply to fund the overly lavish clubhouse.

Used a voucher here to reduce the normal midweek green fee down from £60. 1 person free, pkus 20% off all other players. We ended up with £90 to split between 3 of us.

This is not a £60 per round course, never mind £80 or so at weekends!! At best I would say £25 to £30 would be fair value.

Played off white's, quite an easy course, heavily sanded greens despite ground conditions being very firm. A lot of gravel from paths spreading onto the edge of fairways. Bunkers were nicely sanded!!

A 150 yard marker at one side of fairway only, no marker discs on fairways for 200 or 100 yards. I expected more after a De Vere take over 4 years ago...I was sadly disappointed!!

My advice would be play a couple of better courses at £30 per round each rather than the £60 to £80 beng asked for here.

Played this once with some friends that meet up each year for a knock at different locations.
The clubhouse looked new and very contemporary but you might need bank loan to pay for drinks as they seemed very expensive to me.
The course we played was OK but the greens were very poor and had been spiked heavily with a very heavy top dressing of sand that made putting unpredictable (not just my high handicap opinion either).
Great day, nicley laid out course but greens needed attention at the time we visited.

Wet

Unfortunately the course is very wet on the first 5 holes.
Greens are looking and running a lot better.
10-18 holes are much dryer but still spots of doggie areas.
The weather is not helping the green staff one bit after all the effort they put in last year.
