Played at end of July 2013 after the long hot spell. Green the best i have ever palyed on and very quick. The fairways and tees also beautifully manucured given the weather. In fact compared to the brown rough they looked painted on. A bit open but must be expected due to age. A real test of golf and putting ball in right place a must. Spectacular last hole!! clubhouse lovely. A real must to visit.

Great to see it back open and it was better than ever in my eyes. Really penal rough which means trying to hit it straight and some great but challenging greens. Really friendly welcome and atmosphere. Will 100% be returning here.

Excellent

Astbury reopens

Our golf society were made to feel exceptionally welcome, the staff were excellent and the golf was real value for money. The greens were some of the best I have ever played. This is a challenging course in a beautiful setting. A gem.

Had a fantastic weekend here, Course was in great nick, even after the torrential rain the day before. Great mix of holes, both tight driving and wider fairways, subtle borrows on the greens make your second/third shot equally demanding. A good test for all abilities. Duncan, the Pro, could not have been more helpful and the other staff were equally attentive.\Definitely worth a visit, I look forward to the 2 hour drive next time a play there!!!

Played towards end of Nov with a society charity day with golfers of all standards, and a great Day was had by all. Admittedly the weather was extremely kind on the day and for the week before. The Fairways were excellent, like carpet, but off the fairway is was quite soft and we were told to keep trolleys out of the rough. The greens were some of the best I'd played all year and quite quick to boot. Clubhouse is beautiful and the staff very polite and welcoming. Would recommend a visit here to anybody no matter what your handicap, as we will definitely be going back again.

Unbelievable course. Course in great condition creating an overall fantastic experience. Some great challenging holes especially the 18th hole over a lake. An exciting way to finish off a brilliant round of golf
