Up until three months ago I hadn't heard of Astbury Hall. I have been back 3 time now. Despite the distance I have to travel it is well worth it. Well done to the staff for making a a round of golf on a very well kept enjoyable and challenging course into a good day out.

Payed £30 a round and too be honest it's worth double this, the golf course is faultless with the best greens I've ever played, green staff pull machines off and stop whilst you are playing which is a nice touch, and clubhouse staff were very attentive. Totally enjoyed our day

I played this lovely course in August and have to say that the whole experience was wonderful. I have been fortunate enough to play most of the open course's and the west at wentworth and I genuinely feel this course is right up there with the best in the UK. The staff are also really helpful and I have to recommend Astbury Hall as being one that you simply have to play.

We have played as a group on several occasions, the staff in the shop are always helpfull and welcoming, we always start with a first class breakfast sandwich in the bar, the course has always been in fantastic condition with some good testing holes and true quality greens, I only wished I lived a bit closer so I could play it every week, we will be back again soon

Excellent course that has a real tournament feel about it. Tees fairways and semi roughs are beautiful and manicured, deep roughs are challenging but hey you shouldn't be in there.
All 18 greens despite other comments are all amazing, quick and true, cannot fault the course or service in the clubhouse, I will definitely be back

We visited in late July just after torrential rains had eased and they had staged a Pro tournament. Because disease had affected the greens on the back 9 it was a course of 2 halves. The greens on the front 9 rolled immaculately and were very quick with subtle borrows that were hard to read. Remedial work on the back 9 was well underway and the greens were considerably slower but easier to play for the average club golfer.
This is a must visit golf course in the making - very well kept, tees and fairways are well presented, bunkers were consistent and almost a pleasure to be in. Staff have been well trained, were anxious to help, and made us feel very welcome. The fact that they took weekend bookings was a massive advantage and enabled us to put a hugely popular package together for our group of 24 club golfers.
We would definitely return and recommend the venue. The course rating reflects the poor climatic conditions and the recovering greens on the back 9.

As Good As Ever?.Well Better Actually
Having not played here for a few years (since before it temporarily closed) I was really looking forward to returning. I wasn't disappointed?..Course was as good as I remember it and the greens were Fantastic. Trees have matured well and the rough even though not overly long is punishing.
Great challenge for all levels of golfer but also playable no matter what level you are at. Nice added additions in practice nets by first tee and the halfway hut (potting shed) where I sampled a lovely coffee and a very tasty bacon roll.
Course held up so well too given the weather we?d had the day before and also at the time i played. Really cannot wait to return. Staff were all very friendly and hospitable .

Had the course to ourselves was in amazing condition even after extreme heat played to our own pace and enjoyed every minute can't wait to go back

Having never played here before and reading mixed reviews, i have to say Astbury Hall is a brilliant golf course, very maintained and extremely picturesque. the fairways were in great condition and the greens were excellent, played on a wednesday for 25quid, you wont get a better course for that money anywhere, anyone that gives this course a bad review has obviously had a bad round and is a huge pile of stinking cow dung. Will definitely be returning to mub it again soon.Love the BGA
