Decent course, good greens, but.....
This is a pretty good track. A variety of holes. Being in a valley there are a lot of sloping fairways. The greens are very good at the moment. We had a very slow society in front of us so the round took 5 hours. No marshal in sight. They are clearly investing money in the course because there are a few parts that look like a building site.But....the clubhouse, I'm sure meant to be grandiose, is utterly soulless. The staff are efficient enough, but none really seem happy to be there. Food, at best, is average.

Excellent course

Only if you can get hot deal
I've been looking to play at Woldingham, but was not sure about the £80 price tag. Got a hot deal on GolfNow at £35 and can now confirm it's worth about that. I would've felt ripped off at £80 (that's on par with Brocket Hall or The London)(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 97 Handicap: 17.8)

Tighned but playing really good
So the greens have been tighned in the last two weeks but are running well. A bit long so short on speed. Some tee boxes looking a bit worn and bunkers lack a bit of sand but 2nd cut of rough penal without being a case of loosing the ball. In good condition(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 84 Handicap: 15.9)

very good track with a couple of niggles
Played this for the first time on the hottest day so far in 2021. What a delight, I have to say that as I played quite well! this is one of the toughest tracks I have played in a long time and very glad that I invested in a buggy. (More of that later).Tee boxes in good nick. Fairways were in the main quite long and the rough penal! However can understand this as it is the prime growing season and with hot weather it does prevent some 'burning' of the fairways.
The green thought were good, maybe a trifle long but is was a Monday and maybe not given a trim since the weekend. Having said that were very true. There are some tricky borrows on most of the greens.
The course is well bunkered, both on the fairway and around the greens. Major issue here with Covid restrictions maybe not as well looked after as normal. But there is some very coarse sand and not much of it in the majority with a lot of what I assume is flint, a killer for most clubs! Having said that I managed to play the round without encountering a trap but my partners did.
Buggies at £35.00 a round were I felt very expensive.
Service in the pro shop polite and efficient. Catering was fine if a bit limited. Always judge this by the quality of the bacon buttie, this was fine!
It will be a course to play again for me, just those couple of niggles that did not spoil the day just left a little cloud.

Slow and incionsistent greens
Nice layout in the Haliboo valley. Tees in good nick as were the fairways. Rough quite long after the rain followed by the sun. Greens showing a little too much growth but that is to be expected at this stage in season.(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 87 Handicap: 15.4)

Lovely golf course in the Surrey Hills
Really nice course. Greens are true, tee boxes in good condition. Rough can be a bit ropey!!Quite expensive for the quality, but a lovely day out.

Fine

Woldingham GC
A course which has a lot of challenges without being unplayable. Sufficient lengths, slopes, tricky greens etc but playable by most handicappers. It was in good condition and the Covidrestrictions are being well managed. A nice clubhouse and plenty of parking..
