What the club says: Surrey National Golf Club covers in excess of 200 acres and the course is set in two dramatic valleys which merge at the northern end of the course offering superb views over the local countryside. Carefully positioned bunkers, raised tees, tree lined fairways and two teasingly placed lakes mean a good test of a golfers repertoire is required.

Back after 4 years. Good nick but slow
After 4 yras and seeing it was a late tee time on Saturda, thought would give it a go. Usually 3 ball back then would take 4:30 to 5hrs. Hold up on 6th. Started waiting from 3rd and on 6th was clear!!! but that was the last time it was clear. Wasn't the 4 ball in front. They had no where to go as 2ball in front was waiting. Couldn't see any gaps for 3-4 holes ahead. Can't understand why so slow except everyone thinks they can hit the greens in regulation!!! Won't be going back there for some time.Reviewer Rating

Frustrating
Played course for first time and found fairways and greens to beIn very good condition
Greens in particular were very well maintained
Only criticism I have to make is that holes were not numbered and directions to each tee
was non existent
Had to ask others players where to go
Apart from this an enjoyable experience.m

Great condition
Played here last Sunday after a full 24 hours of rain the day before so was expecting it to be a bit soggy. Pleasantly surprised as the condition of ALL the course was great. The layout of this course is a bit quirky with some hilly lies even on the fairway. Some great holes on this course of 3 par 3s and 3 par 5s. My fav is the par 5 5th over water. Greens a bit slow but very good nick, We played a bit later than normal ( 3PM ) and got a deal , £29, Great value at that price. £50 would be too steep. A good mix of shortish par 4s and some longer tricky par 4s. Pace of play was good, 4 hours for a 3 ball. Noone hold us up and we did not hold up anyone either. Most holes are fairly open apart from a few tree lined fairways on one side. Huge car park so no trouble there. Would play again at the same rate.Reviewer Rating

Great course
We decided to look for somewhere new. The Surrey National was suggested and we were not disappointed. 18 holes with great variety and set in some beautiful countryside. The tees, fairways and greens were in excellent condition, particularly as this was the middle of February. There is plenty of parking and an attractive bar with friendly staff. The only issue to point out is its a hilly course. If you are fit, its fine and the slopes add interest to the holes. Some of the trolley paths are also rough - and steep, including getting into the clubhouse!Reviewer Rating
