What the club says: The 18 hole par 71 course is 6376 yards long and was designed by American course architect, Bradford Benz, to USGA specifications to make the most of the contours of the valley. The course lies on chalk which provides excellent drainage and this, together with the USGA greens, results in a great combination for all year round play. So whether you are simply visiting for a round of golf or thinking of becoming a member you will be able to make the most of your golf whatever the time of year!

Woldingham is a challenging course. Well worth a visit

All day golf for 2, including range balls for 2, for just ?29. Couldn't ask for a better deal. Never played Woldingham before, so was looking forward to it, after reading the reviews. Some really challenging holes. Course built in a valley, so nearly every shot was either ball above or below your feet, downhill or uphill lies. The wind played havoc on a lot of holes, especially into the said wind, as it blew through the valley The fairways had drained remarkably well considering all the rain leading up to the day we played. The greens are great, lots of slopes to make putting very difficult at times. Favourite holes would have to be the 4th, 8th, 14th and 17th. Nice clubhouse and food. The one thing that needs addressing as soon as possible, is the bunkers around the course. They need to have a lot of sand added, as they were bare with stones everywhere. We took the decision that they were all G.U.R as clubs would probably have got damaged trying to play out of them. Apart from that, an enjoyable day in the winter sunshine and a course I'd play again in the summer.

About time the bunkers had some sand in them.

This course is a good challenge. Unfortunately the weather had conspired against them and it was very, very, wet and muddy. However, having played here over several years, I still haven't seen bunkers in worse condition anywhere. They have been bereft of sand for the last three years to my knowledge and there's one bunker, on the par 5 16th I think, appears to be full of builders rubble. Sort the bunkers out and you've got a very good course. Leave them as is and you've got a disappointing one.
The clubhouse is large, but soulless. A tiny bar with not many seating areas.

Played the course today in very challenging weather. Despite the conditions we had a very enjoyable round. The course is really pleasing on the eye, majority of the holes are open with wide fairways to attack and considering all the recent rain the greens were very good. Look forward to another round here when the weather improves.

Good solid course

This is my local course - I've played it 50 times so my view is not that of a first time visitor. That being the case I will say this. It never lets me down each time I visit - as it is always playable. Even in the worst of the weather. Somehow they keep on top of things brilliantly - because there is often traffic on it.
From a playing point of view - It's hard to get in trouble as it is quite open but there are several ways of playing the same hole which spices things up. Poor club selection will punish more than a poor stroke.

Lovely course but....

This is a very good course. From tee to green it's in great condition if you stay on the green stuff. Lots of challenging holes, more than enough risk/reward shots available. Green are excellent. The club house is probably a bit too grand, because the bar is tiny. The changing rooms and showers are very good. BUT, the bunkers are a disgrace. Minimal sand and full of stones. The fairway bunker on the 16th looks like it's full of builders rubble. I know you shouldn't be in bunkers, but when you are, you need a fair chance of getting out. Having been in one early in the round we took a look at most of them on the rest of the round and they were uniformly terrible. Such a shame, because this could be a top rated venue.

Lovely course

Hard to find a better looking course. Only fault was the condition of the bunkers - most were full of stones and in places very thin of sand.

Fantastic settings with in the M25

We had our society day here and The bunkers had so many complaints about them, they were the worse I have seen. So many stones that you would run a risk of damaging your club.
There had been no sign of care taken from the green keepers to go out and rake where puddles had been but tried out.
