What the club says: Farleigh Golf Club is a 27 hole Course which has recently undergone a £5 million refurbishment of the course and clubhouse. A visit is a must to this downland golf course designed by John Jacobs Associates just half a mile from Selsdon Park (just a couple of minutes' drive away).

The Orange Course (Yellow 9 & Red 9) - This impressive downland layout was designed by former Ryder Cup legend John Jacobs and has been carved through two landscaped valleys. Set in 350 acres of mature Surrey land, this testing course utilises many natural features, USGA standard greens and is surrounded by a bird sanctuary. 18 holes. Par 72. 6395 yards. Parkland.

The Green Course (Blue 9 & Yellow 9) - The Green Course at Farleigh is a very decent and challenging test of golf. Like the Orange course, it incorporates the surrounding natural woodland to produce some very interesting holes. 18 holes. Par 72. 6568 yards. Parkland.

Golf for the locals

It?s been over 2 years since I?ve played this course and in that time they have completely replaced all the greens which is tricky if you don?t know the grain but the course was in good condition in preparation for the Barbados open.

In good condition, the best for some time

Greens were quick and slick, tee boxes good and fairways excellent . Even the 2nd cut of rough was penalising. Though my driving and putting were not on form I enjoyed the round and some good up and downs especially th2 2/3 bunkers. Sand was in good condition also

an unimpressive track

I found this course to be unmemorable and quite uninteresting to play. Wide fairways and featureless holes.

Open course but with tough rough conditions, need to be accurate off the tee, as anything g in the knee length rough will be hard for making a good score

Excellent greens

Having had a succession of indifferent greens at courses post-lockdown, Farleigh greens were excellent, true and fast. Rest of course was also in very good condition. Course reasonably interesting with a few nothing holes, expensive for midweek round not that busy so fast round

The Green course is a combination of the Blue and Yellow 9 hole courses. The surroundings are very enjoyable and the staff very friendly. I would recommend any combination out of the Yellow, Blue and Red 9 hole courses that are available.

Course in good condition despite recent rain. Always worth playing here. Easier for all to navigate now they've cut some of the rough back which helps pace of play. Excellent food post round and good selection of beers.

I was a bit disappointed because after the pandemic lockdown I had expected the course to be in good shape but it was average they seemed to have spent their time on cutting down trees greens, fairways and bunkers seemed to have had very little work if any done on them.

Open parkland

Very open parkland with very few trees and no water hazards on the red and blue 9 holes. I haven't played the yellow nine. Interesting terrain reminiscent of heathland courses but with no heather, gorse nor trees.

Great course in lovely surroundings. Whilst much of it has a quite an open look, there's plenty of rough to come unstuck in.

Wide open, undulating fairways

Farleigh Golf Course has very few memorable holes. The Yellow course was more enjoyable to play. I can't remember any of the holes from the red course. The greens had been hollow tined and sanded, so the were not very true.
