What the club says: We boast a beautiful and mature golf course offering a fine challenge to golfers at all levels. Panoramic views, overlooking the North Downs and Weald, create a perfect back drop for a layout which has made best use of the interesting and undulating topography. A variety of mixed and mature trees, including many fine oaks, provide essential course definition and a mature stream creates several interesting water features ensuring that every hole provides a very different challenge. Constructed on rich sandy loam the course is playable all year round.

Damp and muddy but to be expected
Considering the amount of rain the course was in reasonable shape. AllArtificial tees except 18th. Greens slow due to wetness but very responsive and plenty of undulations and reads, unusual for winter golf.(Round played: Dec 2020 - Score: 92 Handicap: 15)

Good

Some great holes at Bletchingley!
Hadn’t played here for a few years so great to see lots of maturity and very true and even greens. Tee boxes showed the wear and tear of the recent weather and footfall and it was busy with two different societies playing the same day. Many excellent holes that live long in the consciousness particularly the high tees at holes 7 and 14. The Par 5’s give you a chance to score as long as you are accurate off the tee adding to the mantra that you have to plot yourself around the layout. Enjoyable and will return.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 98 Handicap: 20.6)

Poor condition made the course almost unplayable
The course was in extremely poor condition when I played it. It was playing very firm, meaning that even 10 yards off the fairway would result in being in the trees. This coupled with burnt greens made the course almost unplayable. As other reviews have mentioned, the white socks rule seems ridiculous, even more so when you look at the quality of the club,
Much better value courses around than this (£35 on a Sunday afternoon).

It's OK
This is a nice course, but beware the snooty dress code (socks) and pace of play. Guests are put out in the middle of members' comps. In my case, this led to a round of over 5 hours and waiting on every tee. Expensive for what it is.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 96 Handicap: 18)

Bletchingley
Excellent course challenging good layout

Overall in good nick
OVerall I say as there were quite a few end of fairways, i.e. by the green that were brown and ropey but tee boxes, though slightly uneven in places, were good and green were ok though some of the latter holes slowed up quite quicly(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 89 Handicap: 15.9)

Lovely, Test of Skill

Good Challenge
Another nice course in pretty good condition considering the pandemic, closures and restrictions due to Corona 19.etc.It is good to be out playing again with all observing social distancing. Not sure when the clubhouses will be re-opened.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 93 Handicap: 14.4)

Average!!
A typical pay and play course. Challenging enough course but the tee boxes were atrocious and the green were woolly which in turn made them so slow. They need cut and rolled to provide better putting services for all. Seems overplayed to be honest and a lot of hackers on there. Pace of play was ridiculous. I wold play again as they see to have a good 3 month trial membership offer on for ?275 but will need to think about it.

Testing Course
Testing course, needing good club selection. Greens kept in amazing condition but tees awful, odd!(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 92 Handicap: 17.6)

Temp tees all round, greens ok. Rest of course very wet and boggy
Not the most enjoyable round on a course I really like.17 temp tees, lots of mug and very wet. Greens were ok. Charging usual prices seems a bit steep.

Great drainage!
Was very impressed with the condition of the course considering all the rain we have had. The fairways & greens were very good. Bit disappointed that we had to tee off mats for 15/18 holes. Food was good & practice facilities were reasonable. Pace of play was a bit slow on the back 9! 4 hours 15 for a 3ball wasn?t ideal!

Still good

DRains well and nice greens
Considering the amount of rain, the course was in very good nick except the bunkers. Very compact. Greens in good condition and a nice speed for this time of year.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.8)
