What the club says: We boast a beautiful and mature golf course offering a fine challenge to golfers at all levels. Panoramic views, overlooking the North Downs and Weald, create a perfect back drop for a layout which has made best use of the interesting and undulating topography. A variety of mixed and mature trees, including many fine oaks, provide essential course definition and a mature stream creates several interesting water features ensuring that every hole provides a very different challenge. Constructed on rich sandy loam the course is playable all year round.

Sticky clawing mud
Not as bad as the title suggests but quite a bit of mud around. Balls get dirty after every shot. Greens, patchy but mostly true. Quite slow.Reviewer Rating

Great Round and Course in Good Condition
Greens were in excellent condition with a fast but true roll on them. Haven't played for a for years here but will definitely come back for another round.Reviewer Rating

Been some time - Still tricky
Overnight rain made conditions interesting especially as it drizzled as we played the closing 4 holes. Course was in relatively good nick but it was that kind of gmae when the grass was patchy but damp and there was no eveness on the fairways. Green were ok but a few too many geese droppings or casts (only to be expected after rain) Nemesis tee shot got me again. 16th played a 3wood for safety...went up and lost!Reviewer Rating

Slowest Round of Golf ever
Played on a Sunday, booked a tee time for 1.06. Because of the backlog already on the course we didn't tee off until 1.25. We then proceeded to wait on every single shot, often times waiting with the group ahead on the next tee box. Couldn't blame them, they were right behind the group ahead of them too. All said and done a 5 and a bit hour round, not a marshal in sight to try help things along, very disappointing.Course itself is challenging, there's a lot of hills, sloping fairways, hazards and trees. There are a few nice holes, but also several slightly confusing ones that can punish you if you haven't played the course before and know where to hit. Also a lot of blind shots, which personally really dislike.
Greens had been recently treated but were still running pretty true, bunkers in good nick. Holes on the greens looked like they had been cut by a 5 year old with safety scissors, edges an absolute mess.

Open course
An open course but too many holes are very similar so the challenge is not as great as I was expectingReviewer Rating

Mud
Very muddy. Poor fairways in between the muddy patches. It claims to be the no.1 draining course in the area. Wouldn't like to play any other one!Reviewer Rating
