What the club says: The superbly groomed fairways of Selsdon Park were originally laid out on the sloping woodland of Surrey in 1929. Since then it has become known as one of the top courses in the area and under its current ownership it has further improved in both playability and reputation. It measures up at 6,368yards Par 72 with the 2nd hole probably the most challenging of the lot. From the fairway the approach shot rises up the hill to the table like green against a backdrop of mature trees - great golf in beautiful surroundings!

Greens showing signs of wearNot bad overall, but greens are too patchy from pitch mark burn to really justify ?30 green fees
Golfer bewareGolfer beware. Despite being only mid October, this course is in a TERRIBLE condition. Muddy, greens awful, just not worth any money

Nice courseA fun course to play. Greens could do with some maintenance, but apart from this s a great course. Would recommend.

Declined courseA stunning property and course not being taken care of. Course is not well maintained, and pace of play is shokingly slow. 5+h for 18 holes is just unacceptable.
Stay away from most bunkers as these have become all full of wasps that have greated a hive in the bunkers banking. Go elswhere
Overpriced with Rude Staff - AvoidDon't let the pretentious name fool you. Massively overpriced for an underwhelming course with shocking facilities. The setting of the course itself is really stunning but very undulating but not maintained well. The website states it takes on average 4.5hrs to get around - not something to be shouting about. It took us 5 hours to get around with the usual public course hackers slowing everyone down. To top everything off, we had some angry chubby chap in a golf buggy telling us to speed up, despite there being a group on the green. Don't waste your time or money here.
Golf with cuzCourse not in bad nick. Greens slow with all the rain and the fairways need a bit of slc but overall pretty good for £30

Interesting course, needs some attentionA really interesting course layout with lots of elevation changes and dog legs, and in good condition given the little rain. Only 2 issues - tees and greens. The tee boxes where in poor condition, very bumpy and bare. Greens were very slow with lots and lots of pitch marks left unrepaired. A few even felt boggy, perhaps over watered. Fix these, and it’s a great course!

Hills and valleysA varied and challenging course.
Make sure you're prepared for the changes of elevation on every hole. The course walks a lot longer than the yardage suggests. But every hole presents a slightly different challenge.
Good solid courseReally good course, greens are the only thing that let it down as not in the best condition!
Would defo play again!

SelsdonSome long holes quite hilly challenging but really great to play recommend
Pleasant course and good walkNice to play again, forgot is quite undulating greens in good condition and score improving too. Nice to be able to get a tee time too on a Sunday afternoon.
(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 91 Handicap: 21.2)
Great challengeReally good course layout and challenging greens make Selsdon Park worth playing. With pedigree of J H Taylor built course it?s defence is the bunkers and raised greens. It?s uphill downhill nature makes good club selection critical. The greens are good and roll true but fairways, and some bunkers could do with some extra attention but this doesn?t distract from enjoyment. Friendly staff in this COVID-19 set up and well organised made for an enjoyable day. With it being a hotel it would have been nice to get a beer and food post round which would have been good but I imagine on the pricey side.
Beautiful (and challenging!) course
New course, good funEnjoyed playing. Good variety on all the holes. Some steep climbs but course in good condition and lots of bunkers protecting greens.
