Challenging course. Great layout

Friendly course with good facilities, plenty of parking. Attractive challenging course in Bucks. A few fallow dear and Red Kites to admire on your way round.

The green was great condition , fair speed. Fairway was ok. Still a great deal
Staff is not always friendly but yesterday was ok, the guy in pro shop was friendly and the bar people are always miserable but the guy was good, the lady are very unfriendly

some nice holes but fairways a little rough in patches due to the weather. would visit again, good forgiving course for those with a higher handicap

Brilliant place that’s improved

Myself And my friend judith have played here on a number of times in the past, but we decided to come back on Friday.

Staff - Friendly and so helpful from pro shop to bar staff were brilliant. Even had a greenkeeper locate a ball I thought I had lost which was very helpful.

Golf Course - The greens and fairways and were in brilliant condition considering other golf courses I play in local area like wexham park.
Nice to see the green staff taking away unnecessary low branches/bushes where most of the time I end up on the 10th hole.

Negatives - Needs a driving range, back 9 needs a another par 3

Overal - Will be back for sure

Lovely greens, tees and bunkers. Fairways are patchy. Slowed down by golfers jumping in one the 10th hole.

Greens in superb condition, rolls true but some sneaky borrows in there! Open fairways make life easier but a lack of grass makes most shots a tight lie only helped by Winter rules (lift, clean and place) in effect. Course is apparently run by a Charity with profits going to them, might explain a lack of investment in the fairways. Overall you can shoot low on this one, so play and enjoy!

Friendly members, lovely course

A delightful course, club house and facilities.

Very enjoyable layout challenging but playable holes with great dog legs both ways and elevated greens.

Beautiful wildlife and surroundings and all in all great value for money at ?30

Not really much in the way of a range but a practice area is provided.

Fairly short, not particularly varied, course

Played recently following some good recommendations on here, and I guess when you have a bad round on what you could easily call an easy course it is never fun, nor is it when the round takes you 4.5 hours for a two ball.

Taking into account the recent warm weather, the greens were in very good condition and were definitely well kept but the course itself feels poorly designed with several long par 3s and par 4s that are only just a bit longer. It takes little imagination and each hole feels like the last.

The course was bone dry and so fairway or rough were pretty similar but I accept that is down to the weather, so perhaps not a fair indication of the course normally but even so the fact that the grass was of a similar length indicated that to me it was only the greens that they focused on. The tee boxes were quite uneven too which is frustrating.

If it was £10 less I would be slightly more accommodating but I felt that for £30 you would expect better than what felt a basic municipal course. I would not play again, although I would add the staff were very good and welcoming and deserve special mention as they definitely make it a more enticing place to play.

Also a shame that the decking area for a drink was not open either, seems daft to have paid all the money for a new clubhouse and then only have an inside bar on one of the hottest days of the year!
