Good course, very snobbish and people playing there do not smile or seem to enjoy being there. SO WHY PLAY THE GAME.
Overall I loved the course, we got confused and walked from the 10th green to the 14 or I think the 16th tee without realising this as there were no sings directing to the 11th tee. A four baller saw us do this but instead of making us, aware they just let us carry on which affected the order of other people playing behind us.

The course has really gone downhill. The greens were all bobbly with the grass too long. Not a lot of grass on fairways so always a very tight lie. I think they've spent so much on the new club house that they are neglecting the course. We used to play here very regularly but will leave it to next summer before we try again.

Fairly short, not particularly varied, course

Played recently following some good recommendations on here, and I guess when you have a bad round on what you could easily call an easy course it is never fun, nor is it when the round takes you 4.5 hours for a two ball.

Taking into account the recent warm weather, the greens were in very good condition and were definitely well kept but the course itself feels poorly designed with several long par 3s and par 4s that are only just a bit longer. It takes little imagination and each hole feels like the last.

The course was bone dry and so fairway or rough were pretty similar but I accept that is down to the weather, so perhaps not a fair indication of the course normally but even so the fact that the grass was of a similar length indicated that to me it was only the greens that they focused on. The tee boxes were quite uneven too which is frustrating.

If it was £10 less I would be slightly more accommodating but I felt that for £30 you would expect better than what felt a basic municipal course. I would not play again, although I would add the staff were very good and welcoming and deserve special mention as they definitely make it a more enticing place to play.

Also a shame that the decking area for a drink was not open either, seems daft to have paid all the money for a new clubhouse and then only have an inside bar on one of the hottest days of the year!

Run out of fairway too quickly!!!

The rough here is jungle like. Keep your shots sensible or expect to lose lots of balls. Greens are of good quality. The difference in holes are ok. Just that rough. Typical council run golf course.

Not a bad course but not much variation, only one par 5 and after the par 3 tenth it's all par 4's.
I found the greens to be a bit bumpy but ok, the real downside for me was nobody seemed to rake the bunkers but I'm going to put that down to poor golfers on the day.

Pretty standard council run course. Condition of the course is really good and nice setting. Not the most interesting golf holes you will ever play but ok. At £17.50 a round it's worth a visit but you can get on nicer courses for the same price. A major downfall as with all council courses is people who don't play golf often forget (or can't be bothered...) to rake bunkers which makes for some interesting shots out of footprints!

Nice course

Bit muddy in places but greens good and course fair.
Good value for weekend compared to some other courses.

First time here & enjoyed it. Very flat, wide fairways & good receptive greens. I did note that the tees were rarely level though & the fairways were the lushest I've seen this summer but all good & very happy to find a course with Sunday morning availability.
