Burnham Beeches Golf Club was founded in 1891 and provides a challenging golf course in a beautiful setting on the edge of the historic Burnham Beeches. The club is situated in the Thames Valley in South Buckinghamshire, with the old town of Beaconsfield to the north, Burnham village to the south and Maidenhead to the west. The course measures 6,458 yards, has a Par 70 (SSS 71) and offers a true and challenging test of golf.

A must play.
I was looking at clubs around Beaconsfield and this was a top pick and recommended with a little asking around. I play off 7 and keen on joining somewhere that has friendly and inclusive members and has exceptional facilities and course.This is certainly one of the best courses around and in the summer, oh my goodness, world class! It's stunning, pretty tricky and always leaves me wanting more! So glad I joined. But every guest I've taken round has the same opinion! My kids are now members and are quite frankly spoilt for every other course. ???????

Well, I’m not sure how many years on from my original review, but I’ve played the course a few times now, 2,3 maybe 4 times a week. My reflection every year is the course gets better. The little improvements from Lee (Head Greenkeeper) every year are always better, good changes. He’s bought the right consultants in and the greens can now be lightening fast, or just consistently excellent!! There’s been a shaving of the edges and increase in sizes of a few. All great improvements.
Bunker improvements all round, new sand, edging, shaping etc. Very pretty.
It’s an absolute pleasure to play and never a chore (‘he said after shooting a 77 today after an injured 6 months!’ ????)
Of course the new practice range is open and chipping green. There’s been some plans and suggestions for improvements but members are nervous to vote changes in and potentially not improve what is already so good. Membership is full with a waiting list.
The course is now busy a lot!! So, if you find yourself hacking around the bushes, bunkers and trees, take a deep breath, a step back, and have a look around. There’s a lot worse places to be!! With a thankful heart, this punishing game, is played in some of the most beautiful spaces and this is definitely one of them …I’ve told myself many a time. ????

Located just outside the M25 the course is easily reached from the M40 or M4Played in May 2025 and the course is in fantastic condition.
Really interesting and strong layout, if you play from the white tees the view from the fourth tee is fabulous.
The new practice range and pitching area I am told are due to be opened shortly and look first class.

A1 Condition
Credit where credit is due, every time I’ve played this course, whether it be summer or winter, it has been excellently turned out and in great condition.Played with some work colleagues this week and were fortunate of having the sun as a bonus. The greens were lightening fast and ran wonderfully. The fairways were handsome in their appearance, and the course as a whole offered its usual tough challenge. The course defiantly rates in my top 10 in the UK, and I’d highly recommend any average plus golfer to give or a try.
