Worth a visit
Challenging but fair layout - makes you think about shot slection - in very good condition for time of year - would recommend to anyone(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 84 Handicap: 12)

Lovely course but not worth £65
Really friendly welcome from the club shop. Practice facilities were getting updated, grass facilities so that was good. Course is nice with a few challenging holes, greens are true and in great condition. Played better courses in the area for less than the £65 I got charged here. Wouldn't play it again for that price.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 79 Handicap: 13)

Best In The Area
Played here July 2019This is my favorite course in the area .Very secluded , tree lined , undulating in places & a lovely mix & balance of holes .Three par 5's ,five good par 3's & three shortish par 4's .
My favorite holes on the visit were the downhill par 3 3rd & the curving dogleg par 4 8th but there are many others to choose from .
The course was in superb condition ,the best i have seen anywhere for ages .Greens were lovely to putt on & a perfect pace , fast but not silly fast . The immaculate lush fairways were like carpets with the ball sitting up on them .
If you haven't played here before give it a try..

Burnham Beeches - Great hospitality and a nice parkland course. Very p
Tucked away on a small potholed B road you finally enter the car park and then admire the view. Very nice club house. Very friendly staff. We played as a society and payed green fees of £33 (with a member as host) with food on top (the food was exceptional!).The club house makes a lovely photo to start your round.
The course is nice. plenty of trees! The first half is the better nine. Cracking opening hole so dips down steeply to a beautiful big green out of view from the first tee.
Enjoyed the front nine the most – many unique holes.
1st hole is visually great once you get to the marker post with a nice downhill approach to a beautiful green. 2nd is tough righ to left dogleg up the hill . 3rd a nice mid/long iron to a partially unsighted green
4th is a beautiful hole in the summer with the elevated tee over rhododendrons – v picturesque. But still nice dog leg left in winter!
Favourite is the par 3 6th with an amazing jaw dropping green with so many levels!
7th is short and a great test – don’t lose your ball in the trees to the right like I did! Fatal!
I think the first nine are all great holes.
Back nine starts with a cracking par 10th is a really visually stunning par 3 with a sleepered bunker in the front to catch your eye (bit like Royal North Devon’s 4th hole)…..more a visual distraction that a hazard.
Not many unique holes on the back nine but the 14th needs special attention. Long par 4 needing a good fade off the tee to give you a chance to hit the blind sunken green -such an amazing approach down the bank covered in odd shaped hedges (well worth a photo!)
Nice playing back to the lovely clubhouse on 18.
A few too many ordinary holes on back nine but still really good course. the overall whole experience was good. Not an overly difficult course.
Overall the hospitality matches the golf course.
We payed £33 as we were a society and a member was the host so not sure on full price but it was worth £33 not sure if I’d pay full price - maybe in the summer.
The 3 course lunch was exceptional! Fishcake, pork & roast potatoes and apple crumble to die for!
Best score was a 11 handicapper shooting a 9+ 79

Welcome Return
Haven't played this course in many years but it was a very welcome return, the course was in excellent condition and it played very tough but fair I thought and the hospitallity and service was excellent.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 80 Handicap: 10)

pretty course

(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 93 Handicap: 13)

Fairways and greens were in very good condition, but the bunkers lacked sand and consequently the club would bounce rather than getting under the ball.
