Fabulous Course
I played this course as part of the EGC series by England Golf. The course was set up perfectly and in amazing condition. The fairways and tees were immaculate and the greens were very true and responsive to irons.
I have played some top courses this year including Sunningdale Old, The Shire and Victoria in the Algarve. This one is right up there.
The fringes and aprons were as good as literally most clubs greens out there.

Not what it used to be
Played Burnham Beeches in the last week, I appreciate that they had some course work done but I thought this was the poorest condition I have ever seen the course in over the years. The greens had a lot of disease on them and considering their course maintenance was last month, they were tining them again.
The fairways had recovered considerably well considering the weather conditions. They had also been slit and seeded as well but didn’t seem that they had been watered so a slightly strange exercise to do halfway.
Lies around the greens were extremely poor, it is like the greenkeepers are scared to go out with a can of spray paint to highlight areas of GUR. Missing a green by 5 yards can leave you with a scrappy bare lie with no other option that to putt off of it! A small piece of advice also - don’t go long on the 12th hole either, you will be faced with a long strip of bare lie between the green and next tee which should be roped off but again, it would appear they are scared to do so.
I won’t be rushing back to Burnham, if at all, which is a shame because I Have previously enjoyed playing here.
Hospitality wise, the pro shop was standard. When ordering food, the catering staff (I assume the lady manager of so) was quite abrupt and rude and if anything, we felt an inconvenience for ordering food and service with a smile does not exist here!

Best course in Bucks!
This course is severely underrated. You will not find better condition of course and value for money anywhere else in the county full stop. Stunning. A must play. Very friendly welcome and not stuffy at all.Reviewer Rating

Part of the captain’s role is to raise money for his chosen charity. We hold an end of year event and a lot of money is raised by way of an auction.
On approaching Peter, the general manager of Burnham, without hesitation, very kindly donated a 4 ball voucher for this year’s auction to raise money for the Captain’s Charity which in 2022 is Help4Heroes
Our society very much looks forward to returning to Burnham again next year

Awesome Burnham Beeches
I played yesterday (29/06/23) at BB for the first time. What a fantastic clubhouse and facilities. Staff were wonderful (10/10), food was equally good (10/10), bar and terrace area fantastic, locker rooms amazing. Great shower. Fresh towels. I can’t recommend BB highly enough for anyone wanting and great day of golf.
The course was immaculate. Fantastic greens!!!
Course dry in places, but that’s to be expected. It’s been hot and dry.
Some very tricky holes and some wide open fairways where one can open the shoulders.
I have to put down one slightly negative comment to keep this post real. There’s very few places to fill water bottles/ drinking fountains.
The halfway house is dry but for fizzy sugar laden drinks from a machine. No fresh tap water.
Therefore I’d say BB gets a solid 9.97.
Thanks Burnham Beeches.
What a great course and venue.

A great golf course to play
Once again we played Burnham Beeches. This course is presented in excellent condition. The course is a good test of golf. It doesn’t penalise a good shot where other courses can. The condition of the fairways and bunkers were excellent. The greens were slightly slower than we’re used to but that’s not a criticism. Burnham Beeches is a must play course - you’ll love it.Reviewer Rating

Probably the best course for many miles around
I played in a charity golf event and the course, welcome, hospitality and dinner were all first class. The course offers a good challenge to golfers at all handicap levels.
The fairways in particular are superb
The clubhouse facilities are all good and dinner was excellent
The pro shop is friendly and well-organised
