Work done to improve the course. Bunkers need sorting as sand too compact.

Getting better
Windmill Hill has been open since the 1970's and is a Henry Cotton designed course. Over the last few years it has suffered in its maintenance but in the last 2-3 years OneLife took the running of the course over and just recently it has started to improve. I have played it several times this year and it does seem to be getting better. Most recently I played 20/12/18 and, although a little soggy in places, it was in far better condition than I expected, both greens and fairways. Bunkers were not great though. In fact, I found the grrens fast for the time of year and weather conditions.On the day we played, there was a four ball in front that refused to let us through and there were several 2 balls stacking up behind, so some form of marshalling would be good.

First time played this course. It is very long but it's is flat track with no distinguishing features. Fairways were quite bear and we played after a heavy overnight downpour so it was quite muddy. Greens were the best part - large with a good grass covering and putts that ran true. Very good value on a twilight ticket.

Tough course

The staff were happy to take my booking without telling me the back 9 were closed. All I got was “just play the front 9 again”. Yeah cheers mate! The course itself is poorly kept, solid bunkers and poor greens.

Lovely condition.
Have played here a few times, always enjoyable, staff very friendly and helpful.The course was in super condition, greens spot on.

Improvement on Last visit
It's been a couple of years since I played the course and pleased to see the condition of the course with one exception has improved. The general condition of the course is good and the greens although slow are a vast improvement. The exception is the bunkers that are in most case rock hard and in some cases missing rakes.Reviewer Rating

value for money
cheap 18 holes Monday afternoon £13. course was empty - greens bit slow and a few dead patches but generally rolled "ok" - decent length course from the whites(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 81 Handicap: 11.5)

Great potential but needs investment
Played WHGC for the first time in 3 years and vast improvements have been made to the clubhouse. The course has great potential being mature and a pleasure to play it certainly makes you think about accuracy off the tee. The only comment is the greens and bunkers need investment to bring back to being one go the most challenging courses in Bucks.Reviewer Rating

Have lived local I have played Windmill hill many times over the years, it has not changed much and is a good track to play every now and again, since its close and reopened by the council it has been saved, but it's still not that exciting to play.
Just one more the tee boxes are still not flat ground and makes driving off difficult.
