Good course improving daily.

Long narrow fairway course. Will test your straight hitting skills. Greens and fairways are improving continuously.
Evening rounds are hampered by single golfers who want to play through which slows down the group play. Maybe the club should consider grouping single players

A good public course representing value for money. Some tight holes requiring accurate tee shots and a few nice lengthy par 3s. Very leafy when we played. A losing battle I know at this time of year but a few groundsmen with blowers would have improved the otherwise beautiful greens. Bunkers were flooded for the most part and needed more sand. Friendly clubhouse where informality of dress was obvious.

Great twilight round

Second time playing here and again very pleased. Ideal for a twilight round, amazing value for money. Course is in good condition, with tees and greens all above average for a curse of this type. Will certainly be back on a regular basis. Managed 16 holes but only due to my own time limits, could have done a complete 18.

A challenging and quite long course with plenty of trees to add to the challenge. Rewards long hitters or those who always hit the fairway. Fairways in good condition but greens a little sandy at the moment.

Under new ownership the course is far better. Fairways and greens are now looked after far better. Tee's need to be levelled off to get the best drive possible (especially the 17th). Bunkers need treatment, the sand is the quality of builders sand and is very compacted.

2nd time in 2 weeks after a lay off of 5 years. A bit damp and soft in places after the recent weather we have had. A bit long for a 28 hc but enjoyed it anyway. Some good holes. As its a pay and play, there was a lot of pitch marks on the greens which hadn't been lifted and flattened. But forv20 quid what do you expect.

One of my favourite courses. Very narrow fairways and lots of trees to test your accuracy! Highly recommended

Windmill Hill has gone through some management changes and could have gone down hill fast, but mk council has took charge and so far doing a fair job.

This course was diabolical.
It was a warm but windy Sunday morning and I spent most of my round wading through puddles which were supposed to be fairways.
Putting was also a joke with your ball gliding across the surface water most of the was before starting to roll.
The worst thing is that the club thinks it's acceptable to charge £26.50 to play there.
No imagination in the course just really long with massive greens. I for one will never return to the course.

This course is rarely busy, but i dont know why as in the winter you can play for 10 ponds after eleven. It is quite a long course and far more difficult without the roll of harder drier fairways. Apart from that it is not that difficult and you rarely lose a ball. I am 20 handicapper and you do not get punished to often for waywood shots, but a mid to low handicapper would want more of a challenge. The Tees and greens are not brilliant but acceptable. The price has just gone up to £26.50 at the weekend but twilight rounds are still reasonable. There are other local courses in better nick for the same money.

Should have been closed

We have had some terrible weather recently, and when courses get as bad as Windmill Hill was on Sunday 19th November 2023; they really should close the course, to protect it from even further damage from trolleys, feet and club strikes. I have never played a course as wet as this was, with standing water around most of the course. None of the tees were in play, but they don't have temporaries, so we were teeing off just ahead of the normal tees, and most of those places were very wet too. The greens were the only places with no standing water. Bunkers were places for water to gather, and obviously it was pointless trying to rake them, even if rakes were available. We were a small society (11 players), but the groups behind us were 2 balls, a 1 ball, then 3 balls. Luckily, they spent time looking for balls in all the leaves around (especially on the fairways), so, whilst we let the 2 ball through, knowing that all 3 of our groups would do the same, it didn't help to speed anything up. On the food side, there is a 'cafe', but our deal was supposed to be for a full breakfast, and in the event we only got a bacon roll. Hopefully the price reflected this.

Wet & the grass had been cut but not picked up. Hard to look for balls in the cut rough. Not bad for money but played better
