Good course improving daily.
Long narrow fairway course. Will test your straight hitting skills. Greens and fairways are improving continuously.Evening rounds are hampered by single golfers who want to play through which slows down the group play. Maybe the club should consider grouping single players

Great twilight round
Second time playing here and again very pleased. Ideal for a twilight round, amazing value for money. Course is in good condition, with tees and greens all above average for a curse of this type. Will certainly be back on a regular basis. Managed 16 holes but only due to my own time limits, could have done a complete 18.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 47 Handicap: )

One of my favourite courses. Very narrow fairways and lots of trees to test your accuracy! Highly recommended

It was a warm but windy Sunday morning and I spent most of my round wading through puddles which were supposed to be fairways.
Putting was also a joke with your ball gliding across the surface water most of the was before starting to roll.
The worst thing is that the club thinks it's acceptable to charge £26.50 to play there.
No imagination in the course just really long with massive greens. I for one will never return to the course.

Should have been closed
We have had some terrible weather recently, and when courses get as bad as Windmill Hill was on Sunday 19th November 2023; they really should close the course, to protect it from even further damage from trolleys, feet and club strikes. I have never played a course as wet as this was, with standing water around most of the course. None of the tees were in play, but they don't have temporaries, so we were teeing off just ahead of the normal tees, and most of those places were very wet too. The greens were the only places with no standing water. Bunkers were places for water to gather, and obviously it was pointless trying to rake them, even if rakes were available. We were a small society (11 players), but the groups behind us were 2 balls, a 1 ball, then 3 balls. Luckily, they spent time looking for balls in all the leaves around (especially on the fairways), so, whilst we let the 2 ball through, knowing that all 3 of our groups would do the same, it didn't help to speed anything up. On the food side, there is a 'cafe', but our deal was supposed to be for a full breakfast, and in the event we only got a bacon roll. Hopefully the price reflected this.Reviewer Rating

Wet
Wet & the grass had been cut but not picked up. Hard to look for balls in the cut rough. Not bad for money but played betterReviewer Rating

Course is challenging with trees on each hole, fairways & greens were in good condition, after the hot weather, Tee boxes were in a struggle, driving range good, May need a re conditioning of improvement, But after facilities is good and food excellentReviewer Rating
