Good short course
Overall a short course in decent condition for time of year. It hasl a good mix of holes meaning it's not just a case of hitting the same club off every tee. Plenty of undulations to test your yardage skills and course management needs to be spot on to make your score here. A very welcoming club for our end of season society match up.(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 80 Handicap: 10.2)

A nice course, with some good holes, really need to have played before as a few blind holes. Nice bar after.

The course was in good condition and while I was playing their was a lot of maintenance work being carried out on the course

We played yesterday morning for a weekend rate of £20 which is a very good price.I have played this course before and like it here but didn't know they had 2 temp greens and also you have to tee off winter mats which im not a real lover of but these ones was really terrible to hit your ball off.You couldn't get your tee into the plastic holder on half of them and some you could your tee didn't go far enough down to hit a driver off it.Wish they told me when booking a tee time.Would go back but in the summer time because you can see they have spend some money on doing up the place.The food is the clubhouse was really nice especially the sausages.

The best council run course in Essex. Cheap for a round and easy to get on. Very nicely laid out. Could do with a bit more investment or a bit more cutting of grass. Still worth a visit

Like a lot of courses in Essex the fairways are currently very dry and the ball is running a long way but the greens have been well watered. Verti-draining has just been performed and greens have been sanded however the putting surface is still reasonable.

We played the course today for the first time the greens need some work and tidying up .the tees need to be addressed generally the course was ok areas that was under repair seemed to be untidy and not a lot of work to clean up was going on when we was there the facilities and bar food was very good since the upgrade. And the setting was quite nice

A very attractive course with some spectacular holes. In much better condition than a year ago however there is still more work to do.
