Nice course shame about the bunkers
Nice course with some interesting holes but the bunkers are a shambles - most should be GUR as there is mud in them rather than sand! Also if you want to be a member who just wants a casual round of golf at the weekends don't bother as there are always competitions taking up whole days etc!Reviewer Rating

Great layout
Some well designed holes making you think and having to adapt your game.Clubhouse and practice facilities need updating but the course was nice. The tee boxes were worn and greens were sanded after 6 holes. That was a down point but before we're running fast and well.
Got a great group deal, good food was solid and staff super friendly.

Ok course - needs some love soon though
This could be a nice course, the layout and variety of holes are decent but on the occasion we visited it really felt like it needed a bit more love. Greens in decent condition, fairways also not bad considering dry spell but other details felt sub par. Tee boxes were both worn and not always set up to help you navigate the course. 150 yard markers clearly not in the right place (comparing with GPS) and bunkers were below average in terms of sand fill. I'd go as far as to say the green staff should remove some bunkering if helps with cost and maintenance. The course doesn't lend itself to excessive bunkering anyway. Final whinge was about leaves (I know they will some will come down in September) but the weight of poplar trees dispensing with them and no obvious appetite from green staff to gather up did cause un-necessary delay and frustration to some of our group. Come on Brentwood...the only way is up I hope!Reviewer Rating

Not great value for money
Course is a real challenge on some holes, you really have to plot your way round which is nice rather than just smashing driver all the time.Greens weren't that good thou and needed a cut as they were really slow

Close to being very good, but needs work
The layout and holes are good, a challenge in places with holes you can score on. But there are areas that need a bit more work / investment to get it to a really good standard - the practice nets aren't much use, there are a few greens that stay really wet all day, and about half the bunkers are closer to a worksite than a playable obstacle. There is some grim standing water around that attracts a lot of bugs too, suggests the drainage of the course needs some proper work to fix it. And you really should take driver straight over the tree on the first - fortune favours the brave!Reviewer Rating

Nice layout
Nice layout for a relatively short golf course. Good fairways and good greens but the greens need to be rolled and cut just make them a bit faster.Reviewer Rating

Keep out of the bunkers
Fair value at £28 i suppose but the 3 ball in front were laying off the whites. Was it members on the comp? Wondering why they said the 2 ball in front was holding them up then? Greens bobbly. Bunkers. Oh dear. Could use some sand in them. Scenic, varied & challenging holes & I enjoyed that aspect as played well(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 95 Handicap: 26.8)

Good layout - slow round
Booked online to play late in the afternoon. Pro shop closed and struggled to find the pro. Eventually told to tee off. Pace initially OK but had a long wait at the 4th and waited on every tee thereafter. The course was generally in good condition. Each hole is different and some holes are challenging. A good course for most abilities. Greens were a little slow but overall good. I'll happily play the course again.Reviewer Rating
