Fantastic scenery and a thinking mans course for most of the holes. Greens were in great condition with tricky undulations and difficult to read. I recommend plenty of time on the putting green beforehand which are similarly deceiving!

Course is coming on superbly since the take over, green fees good value for money, food and drink good value for money, very good.

The course was in very good condition a lot of work is taking place ie new buggie paths and drainage. Should play very well in the winter months.

Great challenging course, Really good holes. Greens ran really well, bunkers were decent! Fairways fine! Tee boxes Fine. A bit of water on fairways though, drainage is probably next on the list i would imagine

The coarse has has made great improvements in the last year since we played it last .The new management are working hard to get the coarse and clubhouse back to the standards where it was at five or six years ago when it was one of the top courses in the essex area.The hard work takes time but it paying off and the prices are extremely attractive.A midweek game is only 15,00 quid and if you tee off before 7,30 on a weekend you pay 22,50 but this includes a buggy.The food is lovely as well ,so keep up the hard work cos it's all paying off.

Went with my mate on (20/07/14). Tee'd off (07.20am).

First time played at this course. Must admit I really liked it. Each hole was intresting, makes you think about your game plan and club selection. Course furniture was available, hole information, signs and markers all in place.

Good price at 22.50 each for a round of 18 and a golf buggy.

The bar, restaurant and facilities were top notch.

The only "but" was that a good half of the greens were quite shabby.

I shall definately be coming back.

since new ownership.iv played 2 rounds in early april 2014 there is so much work going on in the clubhouse and on the course. i will make a bold prediction when the greens are sorted this will be the best course in essex the course has every thing going for it the location of the course is superb countryside.the course is the most challeging iv played in ages im a low handicapper and trust me i really struggled on both rounds i played. my only concern is if my prediction is true this may become a private club and be out of my price brackett i hope not .message to ground staff ur doing a great job with all the improvements on the course just sort the greens out

Lovely course that requires good course management.A few risk-reward holes over water.Great value for money.The clubhouse is basic but adequate.Only criticism is that the Gents toilets weren't very clean.
