Very poor, poor management during winter
Greens really long, full of damage. They have let buggies and trolleys on the course so it has damaged the grass with lots of areas basically mud. Couldn’t find a bit of grass to play off of in some areas. Why are buggies allowed out in the middle of winter? The edges of greens are trashed through trolley traffic. Bunkers absolutely unplayable, weeds, ruined by rain, no effort to rake them after rain. Wasn’t happy at all. Staff friendly and clubhouse sufficient, certainly wouldn’t play it again until some care is put in to it. It’s not like the old Brentwood I used to play.Reviewer Rating

Not great value for money
Course is a real challenge on some holes, you really have to plot your way round which is nice rather than just smashing driver all the time.Greens weren't that good thou and needed a cut as they were really slow

Good track
Decent çourse with great layout. Sometri ky holes and some that give you a hance to score.Needs a bit more sand in some bunkers and have some bunkers that have been GUR for months.
Nice and friendly staff in Pro shop and Clubhouse bar. Food and drink great.

Brentwood Club
Great course, played end of April after long spell without rain, greens needed water as recently been holotined and sanded. A lot of bunkers out of play and work is needed on them. Found a lot of courses this time of year seem to be having the same issues. Friendly staff, good value for money, food and drink were good and a reasonable price. Personally I think the course has one of the best layouts in Essex.Reviewer Rating

Interesting parkland course
This course is very undulating with several blind holes even for the second shot you cannot always see the green - or even cannot see the flag. You really have to play the course at least twice to appreciate and avoid the hazards.
Course was in good condition and the clubhouse is ok

Good testing course
Good value course with super layout and pretty holes, plenty of water and ditches so can be muddy in winter but holds up well(Round played: Dec 2021 - Score: 95 Handicap: 25)

Winter - good conditions
Early January, rain few days prior but course was generally in decent conditions for this time of year, wet but not boggy, fairways and rough were still pretty evenly grassed without patches.Reviewer Rating

First membership round
New member and my first round.Everyone from PGA Pro, general manager to ladies in bar were welcoming and happy to answer questions.
Working toward getting a handicap and then getting involved in a few early morning swindles.
Have booked up my 2nd round using easy BRS Golf app on I Phone so looking forward to getting back on the course and playing another full 18.
Would recommend visiting course if not a member as it is in top handful of Essex courses I have played for sure.
