Played Dec 23 found the course to be wet in places. I loved the front 9, but back 9 is a bit straight. Overall nice track.

First time round here. Doing some work on the second (par 3) which makes it a bit shorter than it would normally play but otherwise in decent condition. Bit wet underfoot following heavy rain in the preceding days but didn't affect the round. Greens we even paced though not that quick. Relatively open but a decent test with water on a few holes. The 18th is a short par 4, but has an interesting layout and is a nice finish to the course. Decent value at £20 for a twilight round. Will play again.

A slow round but it was Saturday after all. £20 from teeofftimes I felt was good value. Tees and greens in good nick, fairways a little dry in places but to be expected at the time of year. Would revisit.

Thorney Park is another hidden gem and only a 10 minute drive from my current residence. Having read the reviews I decided to take a trip on down for roll-up Wednesday; £13 + £3 for the course planner. You're foolish not to take up this bargain. The course was in the main immaculate and beside the odd bit of ground off-line that was more like a concrete path, I had no trouble. If anything, I let the occasion down a little bit as I was too aggressive and should have payed closer attention to that trusty course planner; I spent most of the day scrambling putting the ball on the fairways no more than 6 times. Tee boxes good, fairways impressive and greens are looking very good. I also enjoyed the varied bunkers. I'll be back!

Played this course on a Wednesday for the £13.00 roll up Iin November 2013.
The weather had been very wet the whole week prior with most courses in the area being un playable.
Thorney was in great shape with the fairways being firm and the greens although slow due to the rain in great condition and very true.
Its not the longest you will play but with soft winter fairways holding the ball up it balances out the distance somewhat.
Overall fantastic value for money

Very nice fairways and excellent greens and not dried out as in some other courses.9th and 18th holes are absolute gems and par here is very creditable.Using the on course handbook gives some good pointers and should help most golfers of any handicap.

Thorney Park (Autumn)
Great little course and good value for twilight rounds. Not preticularly challenging for lower handicapers, but still needs a little course management to score well. Has always been in good condition for the 6 or so rounds I've played there previously.Reviewer Rating
