First visit and welcome was very friendly. Efficient check-in and first tee control given the challenges of social distancing etc ensuring groups were well spaced. Greens and fairways in excellent condition throughout. Interesting front nice with good mix of holes, undulating terrain and some water challenges. 11-15 felt a bit similar (flat, straight, tree-lined), but last three holes interesting. Good value for money.

Fairways quite narrow and lightning fast greens, not my cup of tea but guess there were chances to score if you played with a 7 iron and a putter!

Very well presented golf course. Condition of course was good and the greens were firm and true.
There are some holes that are fun to play combined with holes on which one can score well.

Very very muddy due to lots of recent rain. Greens were very good, front 9 more enjoyable but still a nice course.

Planes, trains and automobiles
A course I hadn't played for well over ten years, but it certainly won't be a ten years wait before I play here again. Not an overly long course, but a decent amount of bunkers, a few ponds and tree lined fairways means that you still have to work for a decent score.The fairways and greens were in really good condition, and this is the first time I've seen a green fairway after the hot summer we've just had.
There's a really nice clubhouse, and the bar staff seemed to be very welcoming and friendly.
The only slight downside is the noise, which comes at you from the M25, the Paddington line, and Heathrow airport. However, don't let this put you off, because this is a very lovely course and well worth playing.

Lovely greens
I've played this course several times because I really like the layout of it. It's not boring and it makes you really think about club selection. Adding to that, the greens were fantastic! Fast and true. This course is definitely worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

I’m a nomadic golfer, so these are tricky times but Thorney Park has allowed visitors from day one of the lockdown being eased which has proved to be a great move. Course is looking great. The greens especially are in very good order. One of those courses where I feel I should be shooting 85 every time but a bad round is only two horrific holes away. Nine in particular ruins my card week in week out. There’s a couple of par 3s over the water, and I love the three tier green on the par 5 15th.

Good course near Heathrow Airport

Enjoyable

Today’s visit to Thorney Park was ok. But only a tad better than last months.It’s just not my cup of tea.
Possible the worst course I’ve played for a while. Some of the worm areas as just huge.
The 17th hole looks like a building site.

Fantastic value
Take advantage of their offers and you will get excellent golf at a great price. Tees, fairways and fast greens all excellent with many iron shots running through the green. Not long but a good challenge.33 pts HC 21

Received a text message offering free golf today as a Privilige Card Holder. So couldn't turn that down and I enjoy playing Thorney Park. The course has dried out pretty well over the past month, still a few wet places, but hey, what do you expect at this time of year!! I will say, that the greens are in the best condition of any course I've played over the winter months and really quick. Top marks to the greenkeepers. Decent food choice after, so all in all, not bad for a free day golfing. Will be back, no doubt about that.(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 86 Handicap: 19.3)

Nice course. Very good lay out but holes a bit tightly packed form holes 11 to 15.
Greens very nice to hit into.
Lovely pace and very true.
Would like to see a few next tee signs as you can get a bit confused as the where to go next.

Played today in a society of 20 guys.We all loved the place. The 18th hole is a classic risk reward hole.

First time playing at this course. Fairways and greens in very good condition. Not a long course, holes are a mixture of uphill/downhill and dog-legs. Only negative is the service in the clubhouse - staff is friendly enough, but messed up my order despite there only being 3 people ordering breakfast.

Agree with other reviews about poor bunkers. They should sort those out first before cutting trees etc. Otherwise ok course to play on.
