What The Club Says
Set in 240 acres of rolling parkland, the 6,625 yard tree-lined par 72 Stockley Park Golf Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones senior. The course was constructed with over 30 miles of underground drainage which allows excellent playing conditions all year round so it is not necessary to use winter tees or temporary greens.
Since opening in 1993 the course has matured considerably and the quality of its layout means it is both fair to shorter hitters whilst still being a stern test for those golfers with a lower handicap. Stockley Park Golf Course has hosted several European Senior and Challenge tour events and a number of professional and amateur tournaments.
The golf course is open to both golf club members and non-members to pay and play.

Disappointing
Whilst the weather most certainly has not helped the course with the lack of water, and we understand the need to keep the greens long. The condition of the bunkers was absolutely horrendous. No excuse!Reviewer Rating

Course in great shape
Love the layout of this course, but considitons have not always been the greatest in the past. But this time, they were great. Fairways had no bare spots and were quite firm. Greens much better than in the past, although they were slow. I had friends from the US with me and they loved the course.Reviewer Rating

SG Game
Good layout course however the course needs maintenance, rough is overgrown, no sand in bunkers, greens were not consistent, play took nearly 5 hours due to slow players aheadReviewer Rating

Disappointing
Played mid March and fairways had recovered well from wet spell. Generally not too muddy, however tee boxes were awful, bare and uneven, no grip. Greens were poor too, quite a few looked diseased and patchy, unrepaired pitch marks all over (although not completely green keepers fault, inconsiderate, sh1t clientele tbh). Disappointing as this course has promise and used to be a nice track.Reviewer Rating

Tee Boxes have no grass just dirt
Greens have lots of small holes in them
Virtually no grass on fairways
Needs money to be spent on maintenance

Some nice holes and one or two very odd ones. As the first time I played it I found it tricky to know the correct line for tee shot

Would it kill you to put a sign up to inform your PAYING customers of the direction they need to go to find the next tee box?
Is it so much effort to take a marker pen and write the hole number on the tee markers so that people can see that they are on the wrong one?!?
Are the green staff so inept that they cannot think to inform management that signs need placing or replacing?
Is it too much of a cost to put a map on the score card?
Also... On the web site there is no course guide, or map so that you can see before hand which way you are going!!!
Then to add insult to injury, when we returned to the club house to have a well deserved pint to try to wash away the frustration of a piss poor managed course, I went to the toilet. I went to wash my hands. Used the soap dispenser, then pressed the button on the tap for water. NOTHING!!! So I had to go to the bar to ask for tissues to wipe off the soap, only to be informed that there was no water due to a water leak up the road. Would it kill you to put a sign up to inform your PAYING customers that there is a problem with the water supply, and that the taps are not dispensing water. It may not be your fault, but it IS YOUR obligation to inform your PAYING customers that there is an issue, rather than have one after another PAYING customers being inconvenienced by this problem!
I can only assume that the management are wholly incompetent, inept, or just plain lazy!
I would like my money back for having to endure the, clearly management failures, leading to my worst day of golf ever.
I will be informing every golfer I know to NEVER waste their time going to this location as it is the worst, most pathetic example of negligent management I have ever seen, and I have a long history as a hospitality manager, so I have seen some of the worst incompetence you could imagine.
