What the club says: Set in 240 acres of rolling parkland, the 6,625 yard tree-lined par 72 Stockley Park Golf Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones senior. The course was constructed with over 30 miles of underground drainage which allows excellent playing conditions all year round so it is not necessary to use winter tees or temporary greens.

Since opening in 1993 the course has matured considerably and the quality of its layout means it is both fair to shorter hitters whilst still being a stern test for those golfers with a lower handicap. Stockley Park Golf Course has hosted several European Senior and Challenge tour events and a number of professional and amateur tournaments.

The golf course is open to both golf club members and non-members to pay and play.

Course is in extremely poor condition
Tee Boxes have no grass just dirt
Greens have lots of small holes in them
Virtually no grass on fairways
Needs money to be spent on maintenance

Very average condition, tees were awful!
Some nice holes and one or two very odd ones. As the first time I played it I found it tricky to know the correct line for tee shot

This is the worst managed course I have ever visited in my 20+ years of golf. Wasted over an hour getting lost trying to find the 11th tee. Played the 10th, then tried to find the next tee. Found what we thought was the 11th, played it, only to find it was in fact the 15th. No signage telling you where to find the 11th, or that you have to cross a bridge across the motorway. So you reach the 15th and there are no signs or anything telling you that it is the 15th. So you think it's the 11th!!!

Would it kill you to put a sign up to inform your PAYING customers of the direction they need to go to find the next tee box?

Is it so much effort to take a marker pen and write the hole number on the tee markers so that people can see that they are on the wrong one?!?

Are the green staff so inept that they cannot think to inform management that signs need placing or replacing?

Is it too much of a cost to put a map on the score card?

Also... On the web site there is no course guide, or map so that you can see before hand which way you are going!!!

Then to add insult to injury, when we returned to the club house to have a well deserved pint to try to wash away the frustration of a piss poor managed course, I went to the toilet. I went to wash my hands. Used the soap dispenser, then pressed the button on the tap for water. NOTHING!!! So I had to go to the bar to ask for tissues to wipe off the soap, only to be informed that there was no water due to a water leak up the road. Would it kill you to put a sign up to inform your PAYING customers that there is a problem with the water supply, and that the taps are not dispensing water. It may not be your fault, but it IS YOUR obligation to inform your PAYING customers that there is an issue, rather than have one after another PAYING customers being inconvenienced by this problem!
I can only assume that the management are wholly incompetent, inept, or just plain lazy!

I would like my money back for having to endure the, clearly management failures, leading to my worst day of golf ever.

I will be informing every golfer I know to NEVER waste their time going to this location as it is the worst, most pathetic example of negligent management I have ever seen, and I have a long history as a hospitality manager, so I have seen some of the worst incompetence you could imagine.

The course was absolutely perfect in every way. From the well-maintained fairways to the challenging but fair greens, every detail was thoughtfully designed to provide an exceptional golfing experience. The layout was both scenic and strategically interesting, keeping me engaged throughout the entire round. The staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. I was thoroughly impressed and very satisfied with the experience. It’s a course I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch day of golf. I can't wait to return!

A real find!

Stockley Park, close to Heathrow, provides a really good course which would be classified as excellent if the bunkers had been in a fit state. (They were unplayable in most cases.) This is a shame as the greens, fairways and tee boxes were excellent and the course is set in a wonderful varied landscape. There is a cafe/bar and pro-shop but surprisingly, no changing room.

Horrendous condition

This was comfortably the worst conditioned course I’ve ever played. Some of the greens looked like GUR, with chunks missing, partly bald with patches of long grass making putting was a lottery. Dozens of rocks in every bunker, tee boxes so hard you couldn’t get your tee in them, it was shocking.

Every year we host a memorial golf day at Stockley Park. The staff are incredible in the run up to the event, helping us to get everything organized. They are very friendly and accommodating. The day always runs smoothly and they can't do enough for us, our friends, and our family. We wouldn't host the most important event in our calendar anywhere else.

This could be a very good course but it does need some TLC.
Fairways were OK, most greens were OK, a few that were in need if repairs but the bunkers were awful, no sans in them, it was like hitting out on concrete and the amount of stones/rocks was completely unacceptable at any course.
I hope the course improves and deals with the issues as its a very good course to play.

Wasted opportunity, could be good fun course but in very sad state. 1st hole tee and green need digging up and starting again. Does get better but lack of green keepers is clear, with lost balls under mowed grass clipping will drive you mad. Club house staff outstanding, best part of our visit. Will not go back
