Best value in London
This is a proper golf course and still seriously good value. They keep it in great condition for a pay as you play and it’s a much better challenge of every part of your game than expensive nearby clubs like Ealing. Really well thought out 9 holes - from the short opening par 5 through to the challenging uphill closing hole. It’s not long but it’s interesting and it’s usually pretty quiet on weekdays. Decent range and putting green too.Reviewer Rating

Quality 9 holes, fun and challenging, well kept
The course has really grown on me and finally decided to join as member. Don't be fooled by distance or the fact it's only 9 holes, this course will test your swing, your nerve and your golfing brain. Some epic drives at the 4th and 7th. Par 5 are short but definitely 3 shotters as anything other than perfect will cost dearly if attempting to go for the green in two. Undulating fairways will test ability to hit up or down hill and ball below/ above feet, just like on links courses. Water in play on several holes but never near the greens, which are good andbig with smooth undulations to make putting interesting.

9 interesting holes of Golf
Very nicely kept 9-hole course in west London, par 3, 4, and 5's keep it interesting. worth ?15 but charging ?21.50 at weekends (shame they used to do a book of 10 rounds anytime for ?100 which was great value). Good driving range and putting green too.Reviewer Rating

Super condition and value
This has to be the best value course I\'ve played. Tees and greens are those from a top course. It\'s a tough test, with narrow fairways and some interesting challenges.Reviewer Rating

If you’re looking for a course that will test your golf without being too pricey then this is perfect. Well keep greens / fairways with rough that’s particularly punishing & some well placed water features.Played there twice so far and the wind added to the rounds both times, however whilst the noise from adjacent roads was busy - I never really noticed it once out on the course.
Course can be busy due to learners / beginners but nothing too bad (so far).
Considering the price of courses in this area (& London as a whole), I think this provides an excellent golf facility.

Excellent addition to London golf courses
I've played this a few times, only over the past winter and can say that, despite the horrendously wet weather, the course has held up well. The greens in particular were excellent considering the weather. It's a full-length nine holes which offers a wide variety of challenges - the par threes are especially interesting and varied but all the longer holes, especially the par fives, place a real premium on good placement of your drive. You really do have to think about it. The website claims its London's best nine holes; not sure about that but is certainly up there among the best. Definitely worth playing.Reviewer Rating

Good value, interesting track
I played nine holes with my teenaged son at dusk on Monday evening for a total of £21.50. We virtually had the place to ourselves. That's great value and the course is much better than you would expect given the cost. Some reviewers have criticised the condition of the fairways and the greens - perhaps they should pay £120 each and go 5 minutes further down the A40 to the Buckinghamshire. It's an interesting layout, a good looking course and with slightly better conditioning would be excellent. The greens are good, yes they could be quicker but the surface is true and contouring interesting. If you have a few hours spare, this is one of the best options near Central London.Reviewer Rating

Needs some TLC
Positives first; it's good value for money, pretty quiet, and it's a really well designed layout. You can't just blast it with a driver, and it'll take two or three goes round (or a playing partner who knows the course) before you can plot your way round wisely. The greens are usually tight at the front and become generous towards the back, the design uses water intelligently - whoever laid this out did a good job. Now, that said....
This course reeks of neglect. The conditioning is really poor; the fairways are full of weeds, and tufty grass. If you told me the fairway grass cutting was done by a flock of sheep, only the lack of dung would make me think you were kidding. Much of the fairway feels like the first cut of rough, and from the tee, it's pretty difficult to see where the fairway ends and the rough starts. If you've time, Google Maps satellite view is helpful.
The greens are clearly well-made (USGA-spec, apparently), but glacially slow. It's a shame, because they look lovely. At least the bunker sand is decent thickness and quality.
It's a really good layout - there are two Par 4's that could tempt those who drive 250 yards to have a go for the green, and will make them pay the penalty if they get it wrong. Fairways pinch at the right distances to make you think about strategy, some of the rough is punitive and keeps you honest... it could be really good.
The course has some great views, by the standards of far west London; you can see for several miles. The A40 can only be glimpsed in a few places, but you won't escape its sound; you can hear it everywhere, and a slice on one hole will hit the carriageway.
I really wanted to like this course. The owners also have the Shire north of London, they're building a new 18 hole over the road from this course, and have a Pete Dye course underway somewhere like Barnet. That's all well and good - I like that some people are still investing in golf - but they've taken their eye right off the ball here. The state of this track doesn't make me feel enthusiastic about shelling out for the Shire - heavily plugged in the "clubhouse", or their forthcoming courses.
In the car park, you can't fail to notice the "dinosaur" crazy golf, which is crowded with families at weekends and in school holidays, and there's a soft-play area in the main building. I suspect that's where the money is made here, and that's where the attention is going; while I played, the crazy golf course was having renovations.
Pity; a missed opportunity.

great greens, the fact you have to play same 9 holes twice is not as bad seeing the white tees are very different from the blues making it seem like a completely new hole.Reviewer Rating
