Very very muddy due to lots of recent rain. Greens were very good, front 9 more enjoyable but still a nice course.

Superb welcome from friendly staff.Great organisation in the midst of the pandemic with some excellent food.

Planes, trains and automobiles
A course I hadn't played for well over ten years, but it certainly won't be a ten years wait before I play here again. Not an overly long course, but a decent amount of bunkers, a few ponds and tree lined fairways means that you still have to work for a decent score.The fairways and greens were in really good condition, and this is the first time I've seen a green fairway after the hot summer we've just had.
There's a really nice clubhouse, and the bar staff seemed to be very welcoming and friendly.
The only slight downside is the noise, which comes at you from the M25, the Paddington line, and Heathrow airport. However, don't let this put you off, because this is a very lovely course and well worth playing.

some work done
This was 1st time visited since late 2018. some work has been done which has greatly improved the course eg removing the "stream" along the 18th. Bunkers look well sanded, course well maintained even if very dry in this hot eather.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 90 Handicap: 18.4)

Top Greenkeepers!
Nice course, greens are in excellent condition and quite fast. We all really enjoyed our day, enough to book for next week whilst having a well deserved drink.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 87 Handicap: 13.9)

Once you get past the sound of the road the pylons it's a really fun round not a very hard coarse but great for building your game, watch out on the back 9when playing twilight the bugs will attack with aggression if your prone to bites insect repellent is a must!!!Reviewer Rating

Cool Course and something for all handicaps

TP is a fairly short court (par 69), it has some interesting holes but at times it is a bit similar ie back and fourth with holes running alongside each other. The greens were very good and it’s a course suited for high handicapper. Twilight fee was a bargain.

Lovely greens
I've played this course several times because I really like the layout of it. It's not boring and it makes you really think about club selection. Adding to that, the greens were fantastic! Fast and true. This course is definitely worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

I’m a nomadic golfer, so these are tricky times but Thorney Park has allowed visitors from day one of the lockdown being eased which has proved to be a great move. Course is looking great. The greens especially are in very good order. One of those courses where I feel I should be shooting 85 every time but a bad round is only two horrific holes away. Nine in particular ruins my card week in week out. There’s a couple of par 3s over the water, and I love the three tier green on the par 5 15th.
