It is situated in a very peaceful picturesque part of Oxfordshire but still very easy to get to.
The golf course was in excellent condition, the fairways are very lush with very good drainage( my trousers were very clean afterwards) probably best the fairways I've played this year! The greens are also very very good, big and undulating so some thought had to be put in before putting.
Overall I found Rye Hill to be a very good test for all golfers and a very enjoyable round was had.
Great value as well £17.50 including a sleeve of balls and a pint afterwards.
I look forward to playing it again soon!

Best in the area
Opened in 1973, a traditional 3 x par 5, 3 x par 3 and the remainder par 4. 6768 yards off white, 6572 off yellow and 5982 off gold (golden oldies). The ladies compete over 5584 yards.A parkland course with generous fairways, a few strategically placed bunkers and greens which need thinking about. Apart from a few patches of ?hay? the longest rough is about 3 - 4 inches the main hazard is the gorse which lines some of the fairways. Ideal for Societies as wayward balls are easily found and play is not held up.
Currently the greens are being prepared for the summer and are playing about 8, by summer they will be 10 -12. The course is looking well manicured.
The Clubhouse has a Pro Shop, bar restaurant where bacon rolls etc can be purchased and Societies catered for. The main emphasis is playing golf, not a social hub,
All of the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. There are several other courses within the area, I have been a member at Rye Hill since it opened which says it all.
