Nice course to busy 5hrs for a three ball,waiting on every tee

The course wasn't in the best condition, the fairways were very thin all over and the rough was just one length. that is until the day we were leaving and audi turned up for a corporate day and then the rough was cut into first and second cut as it should be. Shame they didnt keep the course like this for normal people. the greens were ok but still not great.
all i can say about the hotel linked to it is shocking,, staf were quite rude and not enough of them.

Played the Championship course and found the greens in really poor condition. The rest of the course was okay, some good holes (3rd and 14th being two of them), but expected better and there are better course/facilities in the area. No locker room for visitors, or at least none visible or offered.
As mentioned for a course of this kind, we expected better, they could learn from Carden Park.

very open course quite hard work on the legs some challenging holes but the majority are standard, greens were in a disappointing state but it was early season also only given a photocopied scorecard with wrong yardage on most holes

Very average, not what i was expecting from the 8th best course in Cheshire (according to top 100 golf courses web site).
Quite hilly in places and fairly open... and thats about it!

Very disappointing for a premier course, Temporary greens in use were terrible (12ft circle of close mown area surrounded by semi rough) This made the game a lottery around the greens. No warning of these conditions were offered during booking. However the course layout is a great challenge for all levels of golf, if we can get a £20 deal in the summer we will give the course and club a second chance.

OK but wouldn't return
Stayed for 3 nights with 3 rounds of golf on championship and premier courses, hotel was decent and food good. Both course the tee boxes are shocking, uneven and like teeing up on poor fairways, the Premier course has the better layout with some nice holes but the greens were poor, the championship course was OK and greens abit better but even before the summer the greens and course was baked hard. Playing into greens was abit of a lottery with some strange bounces. All in all it was OK but I wouldn't return.Reviewer Rating

Lads golf trip day 1
Ok place, bit tired, poor food and drink offerings. Needs some investment from the oweners, everhwere looks like it need renewing, cleaning etc.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 102 Handicap: 22.3)

I found the course a bit boring in places, Long wide fairways with not many fairway bunkers. Hardly any severe dog legs and the par 5's were a matter of Drive, Belt and Chip, no need to pick your way around. The greens were in very good condition but on the slow side. There was a lot of grass cuttings on the fairways, which is one of my husbands pet hates.
