What the club says: Our course was designed by Donald Steel, the celebrated golf architect, as an enjoyable challenge for players of all abilities. At Eaton we are very proud of our golf course which is often praised for its immaculate presentation and the challenge of its contoured greens built to USGA standards, which are fast, firm, and true. At 6,580 yards (par 72) for men and 5,642 yards (par 73) for women, the course offers a balanced test which will stretch the better player whilst remaining fully playable for those of more modest ability.

The greens were firm, fast and true - among the best putting surfaces I have ever seen. As parkland courses go, this one is an absolute delight and I would not hesitate in recommending it.

Lovely setup 100% worth a visit

Great design
Played recently in an open. Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful. The clubhouse facilities are excellent and the course lies within a wonderful setting.We played shortly after the club Championship and the course had been tightened to enhance the challenge. Having said that there was plenty of room to work your way around the course and the greens were in superb condition, running well and true. Having said that they are the courses main defence as they were quite undulating.
I would recommend the course and will return.

Best in Chester
We played Eaton Golf Club in a recent open (4BBB June 2022). The welcome, golf course and general facilities at the club were fantastic. The starter was joined by the Captain as we teed off and the club have even put on a selection of nibbles/drinks at the halfway house (A lovely little touch).The course provides a good test, especially in the high winds on the day. The greens were in very good condition and had lots of variety between the holes.
Many more prestigious courses would do well to take a leaf out of Eaton's book. Overall, a great experience and we are already planning to come back.

Best Course in Area
Played after two days of incessant rain. Fairways and greens were immaculate although some of the tee to green walkways were a little soft in places. Fairways are wide, greens are large and superbly contoured. No two holes are the same. Played long during our visit. Catering and Welcome were outstanding. Great day outReviewer Rating

Society Day
Greens had just been through annual maintenance. Hollow tined and heavily sanded but still played vey well indeed. Friendly staff and great day.(Round played: Sep 2017 - Score: 93 Handicap: 20.2)

Impressive course, friendly staff and members
Played Eaton on 13 August and was very impressed with every aspect of the club. Course is well laid out with wide fairways but with some difficult rough for any really off line shots. All the members we spoke with were very friendly. Possibly best part of all was the food which is the best standard golf club food I have experienced. Eaton penalises wayward shots with loss of ball as the roughs are too long, making finding your ball difficult and slowing your round.

The course was in excellent condition, the greens were excellent, very unforgiving
The clubhouse had a good menu of bar snacks and the staff friendly. I would highly recommend this course

Played April 2017 and every aspect of the course was in excellent condition. Greens really make you think, and the course is a stern test in windy conditions. Clubhouse is pristine, and the practice facilities (putting green, chipping green, net, and covered bays) are second to none.

Played in the open comp. One of favourites, course absolutely fair as you can see exactly what you have to do. Greens excellent though not quite as fast as I have known them. If they are at their fastest get above the hole then it is a 3 putt.

A challenging course in absolutely excellent condition. The greens are amongst the best I have ever played, not just because of their true condition, but because of their challenge: There are no flat greens and to get in the wrong place on most of them (as I quite clearly did from time to (almost every) time) is to almost guarantee a 3-putt. Painful times indeed, but for me this is what golf is all about.
The layout is a little crowded, with the back-9 especially feeling as though you are regularly playing up one way then back down the other, but this did not detract from a very enjoyable day's golf (or make the wind any easier to read!)
Highly recommended parkland course.

Our Society played Eaton last week, the course is in great condition for this time of year probably one of the best in the area. You are made very welcome by both the on course and clubhouse staff, a very friendly club. We will be returning again and I highly recommend this course as t offers very good value for money.

The course is excellent all year round, greens are very fast and challenging, the drainage on the course is great, pro shop has a fantastic range of clothes, equipment and clubs, pro is very well experienced and would highly recommend him to whoever is looking for lessons, he\'s done wonders with my golf game
