Matt
Played ‘the Premier’ on Sat 18th Nov, paid £30.There wasn’t much ‘Premier’ about it.
Don’t waste your money, course was an absolute shambles, it should of been shut. Was like playing in a mud bath.
Poorly stocked pro shop, and lack of course info pre Tee off.
Probably better in the summer but I won’t be back. Shame.

What a shame.
Played yesterday. Course was a shambles. The greens looked like bad fairways and the actual fairways looked like the rough.

Sadly disappointed
Not played here for a couple of years (covid). But sadly won't be returning for a bit. At ?25 a round the course was not in good condition and needs work. Rocks in bunkers, greens in poor condition and not consistent. The edges of the course were in serious need of attention.Reviewer Rating

Doubt we'd book a package deal at mcdonald hotel golf resort again though. There is no reference to the premier course being off site. There is aparently a minibus that can take you down but trying to book this is proved impossible due to the incompetence of the system in place. We tried twice in the weeks prior to our stay being passed from the golf shop, reception and reservations all of which said it was the others responsibility to book it, in the end we thought we'd try on arrival at hotel/course. This however proved to be just as difficult with the same outcome, being told by the golf shop bus has to be booked in advance and the bus is now off site at a different hotel. We ended up getting taxi's to and from the premier. We played the premier course at 2.30pm. The golf pro could not get us on the course quick enough as he wanted to go home. When we had finished our round the whole club house was shut and we had to wait outside with all our golf gear for a taxi to pick us up. No changing or toilet facilities where available and it was only 6.30pm.
Staff are pleasent and helpful mostly, unfortunately they are let down by procedures and lack of management guidance.

Decent Track
Played here a few times over the years but a bit disappointed with the greens and tee pegs today, still a good long track but not up to its usual standards(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 90 Handicap: 15.3)

Overrated & expensive
The course could be great but as with most courses the rough is kept to long and to many people loose balls and spend time looking for lost balls when there is no need unless it's is a pro tournament. The club house bar is very tasty and tired and the food and drink is very poor and massively expensive so most people leave after the round and go to a local pub for a drink instead of staying at the club. The restaurant and spa are very good but as this is a golf review these have little bearing on the marksReviewer Rating
