Knights Grange

There was a problem with the rough, but i have played again and the course is looking really good.
They have got on top of it all now, well worth coming and trying it.
Yes there was a problem early in the year but they have certainly pulled their finger out.

Never again

Played this course in April 2018 and would not recommend it. We were the only 2 players on the course and after a couple of holes it wasn't hard to see why. The fairways and greens were in a dreadful state, hard to distinguish between the rough and the fairway and some tee boxes were none existent! Even though we have had a long wet winter it doesn't excuse the state of the course (which resembles a cow field) as other courses in the area have managed to cope well enough. We paid £17 each for the priviledge, a total waste of money. Avoid this course at all costs

Knights grange is an excellent gol course, first nine holes are quite flat and suitable for all standards of players. The back nine is. More challenging with some wonderful scenery along the way" the low rating some give the course is totally wrong as we have here in the heart of Cheshire one of the best courses available. Appreciate this wonderful course!

Course of 2 halves
Out 9 is flat with a couple of challenges including an interesting dogleg on hole 7 and a v long par 4 on hole 8
Back 9 was apparently added later and is more hilly with a very nice view from the top.
Hole 17 is a short par 4 but you have to thread your drive through a couple of trees to take advantage of the length

Basically a good inexpensive municipal course which never seems to be too busy.

NOTE Footgolf on tuesday, thursday and saturday afternoons. But check website for more info.

It's not bad but could be better. The price is very good I must admit. We had to play the back nine twice because of the football golf which was a bit daft, the signs are pretty poor tbh and never saw one rake the whole way round. Other than that it was ok,some challenging holes that require a decent straight tee shot and course was in decent condition. With a few tweaks this could be a nice little course, well worth the money though. Give it a try you might like it.

Course just need cutting (it was being done)
But a good challenge, the long Par 3's are a nightmare and the 7th is a headache!

We visited this course in March 2015 and found it to be a very nice course, we did not mind that there were no distance markers as we had our garmin watches with us. We had a good game and decided to go back in the better weather, when it would be dryer. What a disappointment ! The rough was so bad that we had difficulty finding our balls in the flowering clover. By the time we found the balls and tried to hit the ball out we were exhausted. The fairways were ok and the greens were good, but the bunkers were a disgrace. No rakes and they had not been raked it seems for weeks. Some of them were full of weeds. Not every tee box had the tee markers on them either. What a pity although it was cheap to play, we will not be returning

Nice course, good layout with some challenging holes rewarding tight straight tee shots. Couple of let downs, no rakes in bunkers (didn't see one on whole course) and no distance markers on any of the holes. Spend £200 on the markers and if the rakes keep getting nicked, send one out with each group with a £10 deposit on it... Fix those 2 issues and I will up the rating to very good
