Very enjoyable round on an excellent and well kept golf course. The staff very attentive afterwards for food and a cuppa.
The greens were lovely to putt on, bunkers well sanded and cared for.
Well recommended course to play.

Nice course, Very fast greens held out well after lost of rain the day and morning before we played.

The first time I played here (Feb 2013) it was a disaster as the rain threw down all day and this course is on clay which meant most holes turned into rivers.
Second visit couldn't have been more different. On a Golfbreaks weekend and the sun shone for two days. Course played beautifully.
Not a bash it and hope course by any means. Some holes are very tightly lined. One even tees off between overhanging, offset trees.
It only really opens out between 12? and 16 when you've crossed the racecourse.
Not a course for absolute beginers IMHO but a good challenge for regular golfers and low handicappers.
Special mention for the Marriott hotel staff too. It might not have been a race weekend and so was quiet, but they were all extremely welcoming and couldn't do enough for us be that reception, bar, spa or restaurant.

The course was in fantastic condition, as usual. Today's 10 Pound bargain round was enhanced further by the live horse racing which you get very, very close to! I have grown to love this course, and it's looking better each time I play it.

Another 10 Pound bargain round at Lingfield, and, again, I am a happy customer. The course is, as usual, in excellent shape, greens flawless and true, and the fairways the best I have ever seen them. This course is a MUST PLAY! Oh, and there was the added excitement of a race meeting today, horses galloping past me on the 17th were my excuse for a duffed chip. Play this course and be as happy as I am now having just played it!

Played here on a society day and the course was superb and the dinner was fantastic

10 Pounds. That's all it cost to play this magnificent course today under the glorious Surrey sun. From the welcome in the pro shop, to the practice facilities, to stepping out onto the manicured first tee and playing this superb course, everything just seems right about this place. The course is not easy, frustrating in parts, but really is in superb condition and commands some great views. The greens were fast and true, the fairways excellent, and the bunkers all nicely raked and filled with lovely clean, soft sand. Was I impressed? Yes. Will I return? Definitely. Would I recommend it? Certainly. I'm even going to put it out there and say this is the nicest course I have played all year.

As one would expect from a course run by Marriott, this woodland course is kept in immaculate condition. Most fairways are comparatively narrow, given that they are constructed with trees towering along their sides. On many of these the wind gets funneled making drives and high trajectory shots that little bit more challenging. Great views of the North Downs from the higher holes which are reached by crossing the Mile Straight of Lingfield Race Course. All in all, a great course to play.

Went there on a golf two day break, very good staff and food, room was good, the course is tight with a lot of trees, hotel was great. Went there when it was hot and we were very pleased they were regularly watering the greens.Reviewer Rating

Surprisingly good!
A real challenge as some tight fairways and holes, but loved playing it. Conditions were good and course and greens in good condition. It's a course that makes you think about every shot.Will definitely be back.

Great Day
We had a late tee time, the course was ferly empty so we got round in 3.5hrs, there is water on a few holes so be carful ( ponds and streams ) , but greens and tees are good.Reviewer Rating

Good value for money as a course and nice facilities for food/drink. Just a shame the course is unplayable once its been raining
