Interesting lay out
A tight and testing course with very good greens, tees and bunkers not of the same standard but I'm sure they will improve in timeReviewer Rating

Nice established course
Lovely course in a nice setting next to the hours track, good signage and in a good condition, quite narrow on most of the holes, be prepared to look for/lose a few balls unless 100% straight ... a decent green fee and nice shop, club house too.Reviewer Rating

Went there on a golf two day break, very good staff and food, room was good, the course is tight with a lot of trees, hotel was great. Went there when it was hot and we were very pleased they were regularly watering the greens.Reviewer Rating

Unloved course
4hr 20mins for a two-ball is totally unacceptable. No Marshals keeping play moving. 50% of the tees were of uneven mats. 80% of bunkers unplayable with no sand and dead grass in. Greens were covered with patches of dead grass. ?25 is over the top for the state of the course.Reviewer Rating

Very disappointing
Played this course twice in the summer and it was great for the price, so was exited to return.m for a golf weekend. Even taking into account the recent rainfall the courses condition was absolutely embarrassing, and I felt really bad for recommending it to my mates. The fairway looked like it hadn’t been cut in weeks, and was the same length if not longer than all the semi rough and some of the long rough. Worse still is that it had at least a weeks worth of leaves on each fairway. I lost 6 balls in the middle of the fairway over 2 rounds. Really disappointing and will not return again.Reviewer Rating

Great course
We played here on a golf break in early July 2022. 3 rounds over 3 days and the course was a pleasure to play. The tees are flat, fairways well kept and greens were in excellent condition. They played very slow on day 1 and got a bit faster over the next 2 rounds, but it was very warm weather. Some holes give fantastic views over the countryside, and it is interesting as you cross the racecourse to play 5 holes inside the course itself. Not overly hilly, with a water featuring on a few holes. The rough was quite short but challenging and you could normally find the ball if it went in to the wooded areas. You do have to be aware of walkers as there are public pathways through the course. Worst part of the course was the bunkers which had very little sand in most and were very firm so difficult to get under the ball. Also, the 17th hole feels a bit like it was added as an after-thought, but don't let that put you off. It's not a long course but it makes you think about every shot. No need for lots of long drives, in fact on many holes you probably want to avoid the driver and play for position. Overall this was a great course to play and I would happily go back. Staff were all friendly and they are working hard to make improvements.Reviewer Rating
