Nice course

For the price I paid I was very impressed with the course. Some difficult holes but really enjoyable.

Great course, test you with some difficult holes. Greens bit iffy, some cut some not.

Lingfield Recon

Overall nice facilities but the course needs some work as some of the greens were fairly poor.

A Testing Golf course

Played Lingfield golf club as part of a society on a Sunday saver package and found it great value for money. A very testing course which personally I would say not a course for the higher handicapper, consisting of various sloping lies and tree lined fairways. The course looked like it was in need of some T.L.C. with fairways and rough needing tidying up and a lot of grass becoming established in the bunkers, saying this playing of 15 I found it a good test and would certainly play again.

Terrible condition

Was really shocked by the terrible condition on the course as an example there was grass in most bunkers and the greens were in terrible shape.

Shocking conditions!!!

Absolutely ridiculous price for what you get. Fairways are overgrown and the greens are like concrete. The tee boxes are solid too. Struggling to find anything good to say about my experience at this course.

Some good points, some very low

Managed to bag a 08:20 slot for a Sunday 6/4 which was a surprise but not being members, beggars can't be choosers.
Arrived late but no queue- whats going on! It didnt take long to realise that the fairways and for that matter the greens were the worst I think I have ever played. So dissapointing!
The course is as picturesque after playing here some eight years ago...but all the love and care has gone. Fairways in particular were awful, grass way too long and greens super slow.
Its a tough challenge with tight tree lined holes. Individual holes would normally make for a stern but enjoyable round.
Unless I hear of serious improvement- that will sadly be my last round here.

Good challenging Course

Some nice looking holes that provide a pretty stiff challenge for anyone wayward. Some holes are tight and tree lined. If you stray with the hook or slice you may be doomed. Putting surfaces run true and watch out for water. The tee of the 18th can be daunting as you peer at the long par 5 with all those bunkers. A joy to play.

Tough Track

Tough track. Some very tight holes which make it interesting. Feel it has gone downhill a bit but very reasonable price through tee off times & nice hotel.

Hard work for the higher handicapper

Second time played at Lingfield - enjoyed it although it's a difficult course for the higher handicapper. Very tight fairways and trees and undergrowth close by on the early holes. Watch out for hole 3 in particular - very challenging. Some areas rather muddy, but not unreasonable for the time of year. Greens true and fair, although there are some signs of fungus growth on some of them. Bunkers good. Clubhouse and practice facilities spot on. Pace of play not too bad. A nice day's golf.

Great round!

Had a great round today at Lingfield Was very sceptical at first due to previous reviews but glad I ignored them! We were told the course was in bad condition before but that was due to a management changeover The greens were very good although mostly frozen but the ball was rolling nice and true fairways were in good condition so seemed the bunkers although again mostly frozen The course is tree lined so there are plenty of leaves in the rough which can make it time consuming looking for balls if you go off line The layout of the course is very difficult in these winter conditions if your not precise with some very tight and long holes off of the backs There are some nice views over the hills We paid £31 on TeeOffTimes for a 10am tee off which I thought was pretty reasonable given it was a weekend Club house is nice with decent food and prices Good service at the bar and friendly pro with a very good practice area Overall a good day out! Will be back soon!
