A physically tough challenge
Some interesting holes, short par 4's and strategically placed water hazards. Interesting test of golf but in places had felt like the course had been forced in small corners and steep hillsides. A very tough walk, especially on a hot day, buggy highly reccomended.Condition was average for early summer, greens very hard so balls would run through and into the rough at the back no matter how short the ball pitched. Pleasant staff and good value.

Poor condition
Played this around 7 years ago and can remember it was a nice risk and reward course. Unfortunately the condition has really gone down hill since the last time i played. Looks like the white tee boxes have gone, tee boxes scruffy and greens bare in patches. Shame as with a little TLC this could be pretty good againReviewer Rating

Well laid out course. Would definitely recommend to anyone to get a buggy. It's very hilly. The greens were quite grassy, but not that slow. Some good thinking holes, and the rough is ROUGH. An enjoyable course, better than a locally similar hotel/golfing complex.Reviewer Rating

Nice course, slow greens.
Nice testing course in peaceful picturesque location. Really like the layout and my only negative, having played it twice recently is that the greens are much slower than you'd expect. Takes some getting used to.Reviewer Rating

Quality plus mix and match
Three very good 9 hole courses which you can choose any two on the day. The Valley is probably the easiest but all three are challenging with plenty of water to navigate. The last hole on the Lakes course is a Challenging Par 3 over water which is viewed from the Hotel bar.Reviewer Rating

Nice course
A really nice course, up & down a bit with plenty of trees & water. It's in pretty good condition, the greens are a bit bobbly & slow, but it looks like they'll be great come the summer. It's not the longest course in the world, but that means you have to decide between going for it & laying up.
To top it off the hotel is excellent as well

Looking good
The course was in excellent shape and well maintained. The greens were running true, of a little slow, could have done with a shave.Under new management, the hospitality could use some improvement. The service was slow and someone suggested a little expensive for what they had ordered.

Quirky but interesting layout on rolling hillside course with hardly a flat lie and a few odd holes. A bit of a slog if walking. Definitely a summer course, Played in February and course was very wet and walkways rather muddy. Greens a little patchy but overall pretty good for time of year. Excellent value at £10.00Reviewer Rating
