What the club says: Daventry and District Golf Club is a challenging nine-hole course set in undulating Northamptonshire countryside with delightful views of the surrounding area. Easily located just one mile north of the town centre, it has proved challenging for all levels of golfer since its opening in 1907.

Cracking course in terms of views and scenery. Course kept well and very friendly members and people who either offered advice on holes or generally asking how my round went. Will play it again

This was my first round at Daventry and found the tees a little confusing as it's a 2 x 9 hole course with different tees

Mid week, mid afternoon golf, it was fairly quiet. It cost £10 for 9 holes, the pro was helpful and talked me around the layout. There are some big slopes and good views from the top. The tees are a bit tired, the fairways are lush, the semi rough is deep enough for the ball to drop down. The greens look good, but are a fraction slow. The 5th is a tough hole with a blind tee shot and a blind approach to the green.

Tricky and quirky course, lots of undulations, blind tee shots and lots of height variation. Nice photos of hole at each tee and 150 yard posts, useful for a newbie. Lovely views across Daventry. Good driving range, only a pound! and bunker practice area plus putting green. Well stocked golf shop too for a small place. Will come again to try and do better.

Council course. Old boys had a little bit too much to say about a difference of opinion about a polo shirt. With that in mind, punching above its weight! Villiage folk!
