Fantastic views and great layout, only let down by the condition of the greens. Not a cheap course so expected better.

Lovely setting
After playing the course quite a few times, I must say this is one of the worst that I've seen the state of the green there were patches of sand all over the green and they were quite badly pitted. It's not what you expect from a championship course , I'm hopeful the green staff can get them restored to their original state so that people can enjoy their game more .Reviewer Rating

Played Hunting course July 9th as it is the course to play and reviews for Priestman were pretty poor. Got to say a little disappointed in the greens not what was expected a little more TLC required here even in this dry weather which put a negative spin on the day. Would advise anyone wanting to play to leave it until the weather is a little wetter and the greens have had a chance to recover. Bunkers also scant of sand in places but suppose you should stay out of them!!! Overall I’d come back maybe September but I’ll not make the mistake of booking with the pro-shop as there are better deals on (surprise) line strangely enough through the Qhotels golf booking website which is a little annoying. Appreciate everyone’s got to make money but a little honesty would be refreshing! \Can’t comment on the food as they stopped serving after 9 so take note as hotel thinks it’s 9:30 but it did look good. \Yeah I know a bit of sour grapes maybe so look at other reviews for a balanced view.Reviewer Rating

Stuck behind a 4 ball visitors from Scotland who refused to let anyone through. Made for a very long round. Course in good nick.

The course was in good condition, however I think when you book they should tell you how many groups of four balls there are, we were stuck behind 7 groups of four balls

Its a long and hilly course - tiring to walk especially when wet underfoot. Play felt slow - total time 4:25

great course, every hole makes you think about club selection. the rough was really hard to get out of (or even to find your ball in). good facilities/practice area.

after puchusing a groupon to play a game with my son i was ask to pay a further £20 to play at the weekend, there was no metion of this when booking the tee time

Super course, in good condition. Greens good, a couple of fairways showing signs of drainage work. Challenging course.
Pro shop a little disorganised. It's a slow round due to how busy it gets, but no need for the constant hassling from the course marshall when you're clearly keeping up with the group in front.
