Golfshake Team ReviewSlaley Hall is one of the top golfing resorts in England, never mind the North of England. With two outstanding courses to choose from you really will not find it hard to fit in a round of golf. The Hunting Course edges the Pressman in my opinion and the majorly undulating greens will give you the feeling of what it's like putting at Augusta. A must visit if you're in the North East of England.

Hunters was a very pretty course, with one of my favourite holes i have played (9th). Extremely tough front 9, especially with the wind we had. None of our group got more than 11 points. However back 9 alot more open and opportunities to score well.... Priestman had some lovely holes but wasnt in as good condition. Would recommend to play in summer when all flowers etc blossomed

A fantastic set out course. Some great blind holes. Fairly wide open at times, thus allowing you to give the driver a good bash. Some thought needed on some of the blind holes. Only problem I felt was the rough. You only need go 6 inches into the rough and it was gone unless you were lucky enough to stand on your ball. We all had a moan about that lol. Overall, go and enjoy. You will not be sorry you made the trip.

Great day, greens ran true, fairways were excellent and the rough was as tough as should be expected.

Played the Priestman course as part of a large group. We were all catered for very well indeed, except for one major gripe, no halfway house or drinks van. It was a hot day and this would have been extremely welcoming. On one of the par 3s there was a staff member offering a "hit the green" challenge, he was with a drinks cart but had no supplies, they missed a trick there as I am sure all of our 28 strong party would have bought refreshments. Other than that the course was excellent, as good as the Hunting albeit a little easier. Tee to green in superb condition.

Played the Hunting as part of large group. Impressed with the overall set up. Course is in superb condition, greens were a little soft but true and fairly quick. Signature hole par 4 9th looked great. Need to stay straight to score well.

(Hunting couse) ranking about right on here. Genuine championship course, good practise facilities. Sensibly set up rough cut low so very playable. Some blind tee shots I could have done with knowing. Faultless condition. The 18th is not a good hole IMO, can't run out on the tee shot as there is water leaving an uphill shot off a downhill lie and a bunker right in the way of the approach. Virtually no way for the amateur to play it. Apart from that, great course.
