Lovely course. Greens poor
Greens had been spiked and were woolly and awful, compared to the hunting which is brilliant(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 14.5)

Lovely setting
After playing the course quite a few times, I must say this is one of the worst that I've seen the state of the green there were patches of sand all over the green and they were quite badly pitted. It's not what you expect from a championship course , I'm hopeful the green staff can get them restored to their original state so that people can enjoy their game more .Reviewer Rating

Played Hunting course July 9th as it is the course to play and reviews for Priestman were pretty poor. Got to say a little disappointed in the greens not what was expected a little more TLC required here even in this dry weather which put a negative spin on the day. Would advise anyone wanting to play to leave it until the weather is a little wetter and the greens have had a chance to recover. Bunkers also scant of sand in places but suppose you should stay out of them!!! Overall I’d come back maybe September but I’ll not make the mistake of booking with the pro-shop as there are better deals on (surprise) line strangely enough through the Qhotels golf booking website which is a little annoying. Appreciate everyone’s got to make money but a little honesty would be refreshing! \Can’t comment on the food as they stopped serving after 9 so take note as hotel thinks it’s 9:30 but it did look good. \Yeah I know a bit of sour grapes maybe so look at other reviews for a balanced view.Reviewer Rating

Enjoyable round at The Hunting.Our higher handicap golfers found it a challenge! Some lovely picturesque holes, greens were fantastic.

Played course as part of package of two courses at slayley hall very nice set out course but unfortunately played when greens were in poor condition still recovering from the winter weather but exceptional value drinks are very expensive though but nice place and great staff
