I played this course on a Tuesday in Mid November 2013 on a bright, sunny day and found the greens to be in a beautiful condition and very receptive to a well struck approach shot. All the bunkers were neat, tidy and very well raked (not that I went in many!). The tees were all level and well maintained. There were a few leaves about, but it's very late Autumn, so they're not unexpected. The course will probably look stunning when all the trees are in full leaf in the summer. The green-keeping staff should be rightly very proud. It's not a long course by modern standards, with some sensible par 4s and 5s where you can score well. There are two strong (and very nice) par 4s - stroke index 1 and 3, halfway through the front 9. A par at both of these two holes is well earned. For a 'pay and play' course, this is definitely worth you visiting, whatever your skill level. The pro-shop is well stocked, with attentive staff. There are two driving nets, a good putting green and a practice chipping area. The clubhouse before and after the round looked after me very well. I'd recommend their bacon sarnies! (Round played: 19/11/13 - Score: 73 Handicap: 5.4) Did I enjoy it? Yes; Did I play well? Yes; Will I be back? Yes

Greens were in excellent condition, running true. Rest of the course was also playing well

Shame the slow pace of the groups in front meant it was a long round.

A nice course for all range of handicappers. Course is always well maintained with some tough greens to hit but in a nice location. The clubhouse is ok with nice food. I think its good value for money for the area.

Challenging parkland type course. The cousre provides good playing conditions virtually all year round. The greens are usually in very good condition.

Played the Darenth 7th Feb 24. After recent poor weather the course played better than expected, worth a visit for winter golf. Greens were wet but ran fairly true, it was a shame people didn't repair their pitch marks. Very muddy between holes.

All the greens were well drained and reasonably well maintained but it would help if everyone used a pitch repairier. As usual there bunkers there are poor with little or no sand.

Winter golf

We played the Darenth on the 29th November. In the few days prior we had some very heavy downpours. I have to say that the drainage was excellent. There was no water on the fairways and the greens were in excellent condition. Definitely a course for the winter conditions.

Muddy around the tees and Grees but playable

As with past years, Darenth have made every effort to keep the course playable but that means a few extra yards in walking from before the green to next tee. It does mean that around the green you still have payable lies and greens are good. Tees ok but some are showing wear'n'tear. Towards the end of the round the fairways are getting worse and plenty of worm casts and muddy patches where trolleys have been. Overall still "enjoyable" to play. I would klike someone to review the course Index though. This is not a below average course in terms of scoring!

Very friendly club

They continue to make improvements both on and off the course at this club. Work was going on around the green improving the bunkers - this is the only complaint - too many of the bunkers consist of compacted dirt or a mix of sand and stones. Need to keep up with this work to have a course to be proud of.

Nice course in great condition

Lovely course, not too long and all in a great condition. Fair price and nice facilities, my only issue was the lack of signage on the course, luckily my partner had played their before.

Good Condition

Witha bit of rain the ground softens up but a few times on this course the ball runs more than expected and other times stops dead. That applies to Fairways and greens. Not consistent enough to allow for great scoring. Greens need a bit more TLC but that should be helped by the golfers that are not repairing their pitchmarks. Rough wasn't penal like it can be but fair.
