Darenth at this time of year is in superb condition. Friendly staff in the clubhouse and pro shop. Good variety of holes and pretty forgiving for the high handicapper. I would recommend DVGC every time.

Good condition
I played this course in April and for the ?45 I paid it certainly was not worth it , I emailed the course for their thoughts and didn't get a reply .I thought I?d give it another try and have realised it's a lovely course in the summer but not so in the winter.Reviewer Rating

Worst ever
The course was in a very bad state and was no where near value for moneySome areas were very dangerous to walk on but you had no choice if you wanted to get to the next tee box. The greens that were already small have been made smaller.
Badgers are a huge problem on the course and the staff are obviously struggling to cope with this
I have played this course many times and enjoyed the challenge but it is now clear that the management see this as a wedding venue and not a golf course. I will not play here again

Some very Spongy greens
Apart from the spongy greesn there seems to have been an outbrake of Animals tearing up the fairways in patches. Looks unsightly but didn't affect the game. Muddy paths have now been roped off and between greesna dn tees there is a much greater distance so preserving the tees and areas around the greens. Bumpy greens with one or two being still quite spongy. Greens have been cut to a much smaller size which is good as makes the course more difficult.(Round played: Jan 2022 - Score: 95 Handicap: 16.2)

disappointing golf course
on my recommendation took two colleagues to the course ,one of which has his own motability buggy.after paying the green fees of ?25 each we were about to go to the 1st Te,.we were then advised by the starter that THE OWNER does not allow individual buggies but will let you purchase a club buggy ,no reason given for not accommodating injured players!..We were not advised that the green staff were Hole Tining the greens and there was no reduction in the green fee .The course was in good condition however NO SECOND CUT FROM THE FAIRWAYS and the long grass would mean lost balls and time consumption looking for them. The green staff also left longer grass growing in the middle of some of the fairways,this meant good shots would be punished and stopped from running as far as they would from the Tee. In summation a very disappointing day out. Speaking to one of the members on the course, his opinion was that the owner is more interested in catering for Wedding receptions than the running and condition of the course!.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic course worth visiting

Great venue

Quiet Sunday afternoon
Been here many times over the years but have never seen the course so quiet and so well maintained. Pleasure to go around this course. My partners were complaining about the bunkers as rain water has left them with no sand and like concrete but if you don't go in them there is nothing to complain about. Really enjoyable and will be visiting again before the end of year.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 85 Handicap: 14.4)

Well worth a visit
Hadn't played here for nearly 3 years and to be honest it was looking a bit tired back then. They have clearly been making improvements recently and the clubhouse and course are looking very good.Course is interesting and a challenge. The par threes are all excellent.
At the moment the course is in great condition. The tee boxes have been given some TLC (which is something I think a lot of clubs overlook) and they were tyning and top dressing some of them them while we were there. The greens roll well and are receptive.
Clearly they are making an effort all round and for £23 this is a great value course. £6.50 for the all day breakfast is great value too.

Nice course. Not too difficult. Wide fairways and not too many hazards. Greens and fairways are in excellent condition. Man with a buggy offering coffee etc whilst you play.

Course in great condition. Greens looking good, although you can see the seed coming up where it's been drilled, so sometimes a little tricky to place your ball once you've put your marker down.
If I lived a little closer, I would join this club.

I played this course on a Tuesday in Mid November 2013 on a bright, sunny day and found the greens to be in a beautiful condition and very receptive to a well struck approach shot. All the bunkers were neat, tidy and very well raked (not that I went in many!). The tees were all level and well maintained. There were a few leaves about, but it's very late Autumn, so they're not unexpected. The course will probably look stunning when all the trees are in full leaf in the summer. The green-keeping staff should be rightly very proud. It's not a long course by modern standards, with some sensible par 4s and 5s where you can score well. There are two strong (and very nice) par 4s - stroke index 1 and 3, halfway through the front 9. A par at both of these two holes is well earned. For a 'pay and play' course, this is definitely worth you visiting, whatever your skill level. The pro-shop is well stocked, with attentive staff. There are two driving nets, a good putting green and a practice chipping area. The clubhouse before and after the round looked after me very well. I'd recommend their bacon sarnies! A nice course for all range of handicappers. Course is always well maintained with some tough greens to hit but in a nice location. The clubhouse is ok with nice food. I think its good value for money for the area.

Challenging parkland type course. The cousre provides good playing conditions virtually all year round. The greens are usually in very good condition.

Another Good Day
The course is in good condition, especially tees and greens. They continue to carry out work around the course and if you want to be picky, whilst there is sand in the bunkers, they are accompanied by a fair few stones. The food lets the place down, very sparing for the price. But overall a good atmosphere and well worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

Played the course end of March and it is still recovering from the winter. The course has dried out well but grass is patchy in areas. The green were patchy to and inconsistent. No temporary tees. Would go back in the summer.
