Just played the back 9 for a tenner great value.. Bit wet in parts but understandable given all the rain we have had recently. Open course but punishment if you stray too far. Nicely laid out and easy to find your way round and greens in good condition. Very happily play here again, but normal price is a bit high.

Played sat 13th £16 after 12.30 for 18 holes I thought was great value.course was challangeing but to punishing if your a little wayward of the tee.The greens and fairways were in good condition.the staff and members that we came across where very helpful and having an American golf shop on the premises was a bonus(although an expensive one).

Played twilight round. Course was as good as empty and just made the 18th as darkness descended. Slightly fluffy grass length on the greens, but nothing you couldn't adapt to. Fairways firm and true so if you kept it in the short stuff then added length off the tee. Likewise, lush thick semi rough held the ball up if you were errant.

Good enough and acceptable considering all the rain we have had. No temporary greens but a handful of temporary tee-off's. Overall good to play and not that busy.

Good course. Enough to make it challenging but not enough that you'll walk off depressed at the end of the round. the Par 3 ninth over Water is a nice challenge!!!

This is a course that has improved a lot since it first opened as Hawthorne Hill. Back then it was pretty much a field, but lots of trees have been planted since then.
The fairways are fairly generous so it's a course that's okay for all handicaps. There are a few nicely shaped holes, but overall this is just an "okay" course.

Played a few times and enjoyed it every time. Just starting out in golf and I would recommend the course to any beginner. Good driving range for a few warm up balls pre game as well. Great course great atmosphere and great pro shop. Visit for a game and make up your own mind.

Even though it was raining throughout the day, the course was still playing fast. The greens were in good condition with the bunkers proving difficult.
There are some difficult holes with water hazards and fairway bunkers coming into play so course management does come into it.

Another great pay and play in the region, but can be a victim of its own success as gets very busy and a round can take forever.
First few holes are dull, but a wider fairway on the first i've yet to see! Some good holes after those and plenty of use of water and natural hazards. Has a good driving range and practise green for warming up.
Clubhouse is a great place to enjoy a pint and watch others tee off from the first.
Worth a round if it's quiet.

Perfect for beginners & those with a high handicap to build up some confidence. Course is fairly well kept given prices charged are quite low, & there's a good size clubhouse to boot. Worth a visit if never played before.

Interesting course
Nice course with a good mixture of challenge including unsuspecting ditches until you've played a couple of times. Greens run true. Doesn't drain that well but good in the dry weather.Reviewer Rating

Very poor condition
Course was in very poor condition, very very muddy!Poor drainage and not 1 fairway cut on the front 9 holes.
Back 9 condition was better, less mud and some actual fairways.
I would not play is course in the winter, might play better in summer

In the winter months it gets very wet. In the warm weather it is really good. with excellent greens. Bunkers need some work! Driving range is good also with many bays available. The bar and food are excellent and a reasonable price also! Sometimes it is slow going with little motivation for people to get a move on! That can be frustrating!
