Simple couse open course
Countryside course, simple design, not a lot of variation between holes all fairly straight with wide fairways often lined with high fir trees whose lower branches are trimmed. It was very windy when we played. No hills a little water ans some ditches some with little stone bridges. Couse was in good condition , tees, fairways and greens all good.Reviewer Rating

Great outcome
Decided to play the course with some reservation as everywhere else was closed due to ice, but was very pleased with the decision as the course was very playable in the circumstances!Reviewer Rating

Changing you Website doesnt make you a better course
Starting with the positives, the greens were in good condition. The tee boxes were awful and in need of watering even though there are sprinklers on most holes. The sprinklers have not been used for a long time
The fairway look great from a distance but are full of bare clay patches where grass will never grow. Birdhills is mainly a clay course and the fairways are alway cut too short especially in winter which carves up the fairway , thus the bald clay patches on all the fairways.
The bunkers , well some of them had little sand and others rather a lot, possibly too much
Overall really disappointed
Adding new tee off markers and changing your website does NOT make this a good golf course.
I have been playing here for years but I've finally had enough so will not be back
