Today 15th July the course was very poor should not have been open but as it was should have been at reduced rate and customers should have been informed about the state of the fairways, The greens where in very good condition though

To be honest, this was a bit of a dull course. The holes were straight up and down, little gradient and no real character about it. It seemed very new and not mature. The green were pretty poor. That said, i think £20 is good value for mid week and if you just want a round without to much of a test, then this is it. Maybe I played it on a day where the extra dry spell we have had meant that anything straight off the tee made most par 4's driveable. Not that i was that straight mind you and managed to find difficulty where there was none! But anyone with a handicap of 12 and under would burn this course up.
Reading this back, i have been a little unfair as it wasn't THAT bad. It is just that if I had a choice of where to play, it would not be my first pick.
Maybe with a bit of rain the the holes may play more interesting.

greens are good but course is very dull. Worth a quick 9 sometime but wouldn't make a journey or a day of it

Course was not in great condition
This is a really nice course in the summer time but this time of year, it was a challenge, a lot of fairways water logged just off the tee box and greens were not in the greatest conditions either.Its a shame, a lovely course.

Good value
The course is not long and is in pretty good condition. the tees need work but the greens are pretty good. The practice green is much faster than the actual course. This is a great place to practice your game. Friendly welcome and a good America Golf store on site, along with good practice facilities.Reviewer Rating

Good Condition
A little on the steep side but as with most courses now the price has gone sky high. Course in good condition. They front 9 has been swapped with the back 9, a little annoying finishing on a par 3 but it is 160 yards with water before the green just a personal preference of not liking finishing on a 3.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 86 Handicap: 18)

tough conditions
Fairways and greens in good nick but grass just on/off the fairway was very long and quite penal, more so than would have expected. This resulted in spending much time trying to find drives which would have been fine on any other fairway. Hence led to long round and frustration from other groups.Not great value at £36 at weekend.

Bird Hills is a great little course which is mostly pay and play. It is reasonably priced and is usually in good condition given the amount of play it gets. Really friendly staff and an American Golf store on site. This was a saviour during COVID with so many other courses only allowing members.
