Interesting course and a good test, greens are not the best but ok, the extremely friendly staff make you very welcome and it's always a pleasure to play,

Really friendly little clubhouse and the weather was awesome. 3.5 hours for the round. Very good.

A long and hilly course but great views of the Hertfordshire countryside. No need to book and worth a visit. A lot of effort has been made to improve the course and it's paying dividends with wide fairways, slick greens and getting better all the time. Some interesting holes especially the 2nd, 7th and 10th !!!. Nice little clubhouse with friendly staff and great bacon sarnies. Steve the Pro is an excellent & patient teacher who obviously loves the game.

I\'ve been playing for 3 years and was recommended this course by a work colleague. The course is longer than others I\'ve played and can be hilly in places. The holes are interesting even though there aren\'t many hazards. The staff were very helpful and was made to feel most welcome. I will definitely visit again but as its great value for money maybe next time I shall hire a buggy.

I have been a member at Ash Valley GC for several years now, and have seen a lot of improvements to the course over the past three years in particular. It is a testing course, which can be particularly hard for short-hitters, and the long rough should be avoided at all costs. Many of the fairways are generous though, and like most courses, the prevailing weather conditions do affect both fairways and greens. In comparison to many other golf clubs in this area, Ash valley offers great value for money.

Tough course with tricky greens. Drives need to be accurate or the slopes can chuck your ball around. Very welcoming members and a great little clubhouse. Be sure to have a trolley however as the hills are big!
