Terrible value for money
Where do we start. “Great” Hadham by name only. Weekend golf with a member still costs £49.50 and honestly when you play a cracker like Saffron Walden for less. This is a course that hasn’t been maintained very well at all, greens that were hollowtined and not dressed for months, tee boxes like a cub football goalmouth. Fairways harder than Stansted’s second runway and more lodges than the Freemasons. There’s a lovely water feature between 10 and 17 that seriously needs environmental health visitation too. I can’t offer anyone a recommendation to play it as you’re far better off at other courses such as Toot Hill, Barkway, Whitehills, Braintree, Canonsbrook, East Herts (or anywhere outside of Harlow town pitch and putt)Reviewer Rating

Terrible conditions
I recently played at Great Hadham Golf Course, and I have to say, I was really disappointed with my experience. Right from the start, the tee boxes were in awful condition, which set a negative tone for the day. The fairways were extremely dry and clearly not well looked after; it felt like they hadn’t seen any maintenance in a while. I'm guessing since the club was formed. The greens were passable, but even the fringes surrounding them needed better care. It was frustrating to see such a lack of attention to detail on the course. On a brighter note, the bunkers were actually the best part of the course. Nothing to be proud of. They had decent sand and were maintained, which was a relief amidst the other issues. We would have been happier just playing out of the sand.
Given the condition of the course, I really felt that the £22.00 fee was overly high; honestly, it wasn’t even worth £10.00. I sent an email to the club to express my concerns and requested a refund since the pro shop was closed when I returned to the clubhouse, but I received no response whatsoever.
Having looked at the membership fees to and for a 7 day membership if was the best part of £1500.00..... If that is the case where is that money being invested? Certainly, isn't on the course!!!!! I can only imagine it is going into someone's pocket, or the club has very little members!
Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I can’t recommend playing here. There are plenty of other courses that deserve your time and money a lot more than this one. Save yourself the hassle and play elsewhere!
Shame on everyone at Great Hadham!!!!
