Poor

Course is in poor condition, and even if it were in better state it's uninspiring. Real issue the price they charge - £20 for a place that still needs a lot of work. Go play Blakes or Barkway for half the price if you want to save the money and aren't fussed about course condition.

Shocking condition !!! Greens are probably the worst greens I have ever played on. Will never play here again, especially for £20, and that was late afternoon. Course is very shabby, piles of mud on sides of quite a few fairways. I know the course is trying to upgrade, but charging £20 or more is outrageous.

Not great

Frankly the course is not in good condition. The fairways were long on most holes , think first cut or worse. The greens were bobbly and slow. All the tee boxes were a mess and hadn't been cut. A lot of the bunkers are either mud or full of weeds.
And yest despite all of this work seems to be going on to add new features (ponds, bunkers etc.) around the course. Surely getting what's already in place sorted and keeping it that way should be the priority?
No way it's worth the £25 they're charging at present, far better golf locally for less money.

new owners have improved the course with a new green keeper who is doing a great job, but there is a long way to go, maybe give it another year.

We went there on a Sunday to play the Par 3 course. Unfortunately, we didn't have our clubs and as the guy in the Pro shop told us, they don't do rental clubs. I was surprised by this as I expected a club advertising a beginners Par 3 course to rent out clubs. All we would have needed was a couple of short irons and a putter. Maybe it had rather to do with our outfits that we were not welcome. I can't say anything about the course(s) but overall the club was not welcoming at all and displayed an unfriendly and wanna be pretentious atmosphere.

Very poor course. They have taken some construction dirt and used this to landscape some of the course. This makes it extremely stony. The driving range is far from 'state of the art' as advertised and points directly westward into the evening sun, so good luck in seeing where your ball has gone if you pop by after a day's work. Pro shop staff are not exactly friendly as they are not part of the club itself. Far better courses nearby that are much better value for money.

No mention on website (didn't see anywhere in club house either) of the construction that is taking place which IMO is extremely poor. Maybe a third of holes had construction going on somewhere along them and at times did feel like you were literally in middle of a work site. Newly laid turf on some of the fairways. One tee (temporary)was surrounded by rubble to such an extent that it took us a couple of minutes to work out where the fairway was suppose to be located. Found the greens to be very very slow and some of the fairways looked like they needed better maintaining. On the plus side £20 on a weekend is reasonably cheap and once all construction work is finished it will probably be ok. Will not play there again.

Absolutely shocking course in shocking condition, rocks and stones everywhere including on the fairway from the construction.

Damaged my sand wedge from the edge of the fairway on buried stones and lost an entire cleat from my new shoes because of the rocks from green to tees.

Plus they still wanted £30 for a course that was a building site.

Shocking course, shocking price, stay away and spend your money elsewhere

Course is like a building site! My mate had some shoes trashed as the whole cleat enclosure got ripped out on the pathways. Finding the Tees was by luck more than judgement, no signs or directions, and no markers on any of the Tees stating Hole Description. Fairways dry as a bone and devoid of almost any grass, like playing off a parched mud flat at times. Greens dreadful and looks like the course is hardly maintained at all!!
Nightmare to find with no decent signposts! Nice bar and clubhouse though! All in all for the £25 I paid, feeling pretty hard done by!
