Worst golf every experienced
Nothing has be mown the course on a whole is a disgrace. The staff you meet are so rude. Wont be playing again

Simon
Nothing has changed with this course couldn't find ball due to the long grass. Greens are okay but for the price we paid should been better. I'll come back and hopefully be better.

Awful
Pace of play awful and greens very soft and slow.

Green is the grass of home
Good course, some fairly average holes (par 3 1st hole for instance should be scrapped or shortened slightly and have water / bunkers surrounding the green) but there are some stunning holes and a good challenge.

Nice level course
Course in fine condition. Challenging tee shots, but wide fairways, if you can reach them.Greens and tee boxes in very good condition, and the fairways are well maintained.

Good course post lockdown
Good course and really decent twilight value for money. Course in decent shape. Greens not too bad. One thing that does need some work are the tee boxes. Sometimes difficult to get a flat stance.

Excellent
Superb course but very tricky. Every hole has something different to deal with . Fairly flat course . Unfortunately the weather killed our game today . Heavy rain and storms(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 102 Handicap: 22.7)

Great course

Parkland course with hotel
Played several times over years and improves all the time. Set as a loop of 9 quite compact holes around woodland and the hotel grounds before expanding at the start and end in wide fairways parkland. Some exceptionally long holes including a monster 18th 600 yarder, some good par 3?s including 10th over pond, and the opening hole also.Friendly staff and small pro shop, putting green but sadly no range. To be considered.

Cracking Middle
It's hard to truly evaluate the course as only 12 holes were open & the fairways hadn't been mown, but after 2 weeks of almost constant rain, that's not unusual at the moment. The greens & bunkers were in fantastic condition though.
From what I saw the course got a bit samey around 13 to 16, but holes 8 to 12 were superb. They really made you think with some great layouts around water, trees & sand.
The pro was great & the hotel was very good.
I definitely want to return in the summer & see the course at it's best as I think it will be an excellent challenge of golf.

Nicely designed course. Worth a visit
Played this in good weather under a 2 for 1 deal, so great value. Good VFM breakfast at the club house beforehand and played behind a fairly large society that had stayed at the hotel overnight with positive feedback. Practice facilities were basic, but pace of play once we got going was good considering the large group in front of us. Course was challenging, but fair and makes you think - you certainly don't need your driver out on every tee. The greens were in great condition, very true and often difficult to read, the rough was penal but fair and the bunkers I visited were excellent. I enjoyed my first visit, but thought some of the holes needed a bit of TLC - especially the tee boxes which were uneven, messy and often difficult to push a tee into. Overall though, I would play again and recommend a visit. Can't comment on post round food as the society in front of us seemed to have cleared the menu, but the staff were friendly and the refreshing ale on the patio by the 18th green was very enjoyable!

A nice course
This was excellent value for only £15 per person, course was in fair condition and some of the short par fours were really quite tricky. Had clearly done work on tee boxes but some of them were still not level which is a bit strange.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 99 Handicap: 17.9)

Great course
Great course, great club house. Staff great. Main hotel good. Food good, but hotel bar very average. Like an after thought. Again though, staff in main hotel also great.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 142 Handicap: 28.8)
