The course was tidy, played Waterloo which had some stunning short holes. The service and food was to a high standard, I don't live local but I would play again. They were keen on getting my contact details (asked twice) so I look forward to receiving a newsletter or some discount vouchers!

First time playing here. Played the Waterloo course which is the shorter of the 2 on site. Enjoyable track though the 2nd cut of rough is punative in the extereme should you find it and will more often than not, result in a lost ball once you're in it. Good test of golf otherwise though the bunkers could do with some more sand in them. Really enjoyed it overall and will play again in due course.

Give this a miss
No pro shop SLOW service .The course needs a lot of work on the tee box.Broken tees all over tee box.Very dry golf course gound staff must be on holiday.VERY DISAPOINTING DAY.WONT BE BACK.Reviewer Rating

tough in the heavy conditions
Potentially a good layout just requiring a lot more work to get to a standard where i would say "yes love to go back" - i'm sure they'll get there given the appropriate weather and time spent maintaining the fairways and greens.10th is a mess - maybe temporarily turn it into a short par 3 to save losing balls on the fairway.

It was my first time playing this course it had rain heavily the night before and there was quite a bit of course maintenance being carried out on the course which is common at this time of the year.

Good value for money, nice atmosphere
Played on the weekend just gone. Course was in quite good condition on the whole, given recent weather. A bit patchy on some of the fairways where less light gets in but greens in good condition and for this time of year, in decent nick.Round was relatively slow, 8 minute tee times almost guarantee this with most amateurs (including me) having to look for their ball a few times. Course quite open so that is not too problematic but be good if some were taught the basics of golf etiquette on letting others play through when people are looking for the ball and others stood on the tee.
Clubhouse staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the vibe after the round was quite good - with music coming out of the clubhouse.
Overall, good value for money. Probably not one I will play again as quite far away from me, but if I was in the area and looking for a round I would definitely consider. Would like to play the Waterloo course which apparently has a bit more character.

Nice course
Course was very well kept, putting greens were quick & in good condition. Cheap round & buggy hire for later tee times. Quite busy & felt a little slow but round took just over 4hrs so not all bad.There were no stand out/feature holes but nice course none the less.

, but not Enjoyable round
The Wellington course was in good condition, the greens were well kept, although I found them difficult coming from a links course.I would recommend the course to visitors if they choose the earlier cheaper tee times.
You will enjoy the setting, the ponds with geese are very attractive.
However I cannot remember any of the holes especially and would find it difficult to pick s signature hole.
Overall, a lovely setting and an enjoyable game but not special in any way.

muddy in some areas, drains well on most of the course. I've seen it in better conditions but I'll chalk it down to the time of year, fairways can't be cut this time of year however the drainage is an issue on some holes. Marked off green aproaches with exclusion ropes indicate waterlogged soils.

Great Autumn Round
played WELLINGTON in Sep 2020 during covid and the place was packed! This made for a very slow round, but the course and greens were in good condition and I enjoyed the round(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 101 Handicap: 20)
